Beyoncé Praises Mom Tina on Stage During Cowboy Carter Tour

Beyoncé isn’t just her daughters’ protectors.

The “16 Carriages” singer is equally a fervent supporter of her mother. At her recent “Cowboy Carter” show in Los Angeles, this Grammy winner called her mom, Tina Knowles, up on stage to applaud her for the success of her memoir titled “Matriarch.

Today is a momentous day as my mother, who tirelessly dedicated her efforts towards her book, has achieved the top spot on the New York Times bestsellers list. This joyful news was shared by Beyoncé, 43, during the May 1st show while standing beside Tina and her two daughters, Blue Ivy Carter, 13, and Rumi Carter, 7. She enthusiastically encouraged the crowd to shout, “Congratulations, Mama T!

Not only did the heartwarming scene continue, but when the audience showered affectionate messages towards the 71-year-old, Blue and Rumi—the grandchildren Beyoncé shares with her husband Jay-Z—gracefully applauded their grandmother. In a touching display, Beyoncé too expressed love by giving her mom a tender embrace before Tina gently led Rumi offstage.

Regarding Tina, who is not only a mother but also to Solange Knowles, aged 38, and has an ex-husband named Mathew Knowles, it’s rare for her to appear on stage with her daughter. However, she expressed her delight over the experience in an Instagram post, stating that “it was a blast to witness the show from that unique perspective.

As the author continues to create a stir in bookstores, Beyoncé, mother of 7-year-old Sir Carter, has been making an indelible mark in Los Angeles since her Cowboy Carter tour began on April 28. Notably, the most striking moments of the show have been the appearances of Blue and Rumi, although watching Beyoncé ride a gold-plated bull with confidence and floating on a horse shoe is equally unforgettable.

At the start of the tour, Blue performed a dance number with her mother while both were dressed in jumpsuits covered in newspapers, for the song titled “America Has a Problem.” Later on, she reappeared for additional performances, which included a solo dance segment during her interpretation of her mom’s hit single “Deja Vu,” originally released as her birthday track.

Regarding Rumi, Beyoncé’s little sister, she stole the limelight during her performance in “Protector.” As she danced, she enthusiastically waved to the audience and then affectionately hugged her mother.
