As I delve into these vibrant individuals who have graced the Big Brother stage this year, I can’t help but feel a sense of awe and admiration for their courage and zest for life. Each one of them brings something unique to the table, and their stories are as diverse as the tapestry of humanity itself.
Amazingly, a full year has passed since the premiere of Big Brother on ITV, with 16 diverse individuals stepping into the Big Brother house for the very first time on our television screens.
2022 marked the addition of Kerry, Henry, Jenkin, and Jordan Sangha to our show. It was Jordan Sangha who ultimately triumphed in the 2023 season!
Currently, we have 16 brand-new residents getting set to embark on an exciting journey, as they gear up for the biggest social trial yet, while being closely monitored by Big Brother.

Rosie’s long-held dream of participating in Big Brother finally came true, and she’s incredibly thankful for the opportunity!
Rosie expressed her enthusiasm about moving in as a housemate by saying, “I can’t wait for everything! I’m thrilled to meet new people because I truly enjoy making connections. I’m equally eager to participate in the tasks – every time I see them, I can’t help but think, ‘That looks so fun, I really want to try it!’
Emma
Age: 53
Job: Aesthetics business owner
Location: Altrincham, originally Essex
Emma admitted that she submitted her Big Brother application without giving it much consideration at all, and she never imagined in a million years that she’d receive a response. However, when she did, she was so surprised that her jaw literally dropped.
Emma mentioned that she’ll be introducing tranquility, unity, and plenty of amusement,” she said about her contributions to the Big Brother house.
She commented: “Despite what others may think, I could potentially stir up all the commotion within that house. However, I’d like to believe I’m more of a peacekeeper. Sometimes I might take on the role of the mother figure, but overall I’ll be more like one of the girls. I often don’t behave my actual age when I should, so I doubt I’ll suddenly start acting my age in Big Brother.
Segun
Age: 25
Job: Charity videographer
Location: Watford
Segun expresses a strong desire to connect with individuals from various backgrounds within the Big Brother house, and intends to contribute diverse vibes and inspiring amusement to his fellow housemates.
Segun shared that he’s excited about the opportunity to step back from daily life, discover more about himself, and experience a new environment. He mentioned that being confined within the house would provide an intriguing chance for self-exploration.
Nathan
Age: 24
Job: Pork salesman
Location: Dumfries
Previously serving as a butler to the monarch, Nathan submitted an application to Big Brother out of curiosity and eagerness to explore fresh adventures, as well as challenge himself.
Nathan seems to be winging it without a clear plan for reaching the finale. As he put it, “It’s nothing like ‘The X Factor,’ where the most talented singer emerges victorious.
Examining previous victors reveals no consistent pattern. I plan to enter confidently, staying true to myself. If viewers find me appealing, great! If not and I get eliminated early, I accept that outcome.
Daze
Age: 24
Job: Climate activist
Location: London
As a passionate cinephile, I decided to give Big Brother a shot, seeing it as a platform where I could seize an opportunity to develop myself further.
She aims to provide “a compassionate and attentive ear” within the household. As she put it, “I’m looking forward to offering a place where conversations can take place.” Being someone who enjoys connecting with others, she referred to herself as a “people-friendly individual.
Khaled
Age: 23
Job: Sales manager
Location: Manchester
Initially, Khaled believed that Big Brother was a program centered around caregiving, but once he got the hang of things, he saw it as a fresh chance for him to explore.
He shared that he’s not pursuing fame, instead he finds value in using his platform as a Lebanese-Palestinian individual with a Western upbringing to voice his perspective on these matters.
Martha
Age: 26
Job: NHS administrator
Location: Scarborough, originally from Margate
Martha often finds herself curious about various topics and aims to inject some amusement and plenty of humor into the Big Brother house.
She remarked that we should cherish the pleasant and amusing experiences life offers, and approach everything with a touch of humor or nonchalance.
Lily
Age: 20
Job: Chinese takeaway server
Location: Warrington
At first, Lily submitted an application for the Big Brother series, as it happened to be her former partner’s preferred television program. However, she never expected to make it onto the show herself!
Lily is excited about creating a positive atmosphere in the Big Brother house, as she anticipates the freedom from parental supervision, which means no more being reminded to do chores like washing dishes or cleaning her room.
Ali
Age: 38
Job: Forensic psychologist
Location: London, originally from Leicester
Ali decided to apply for Big Brother primarily due to her desire for a thrilling adventure that she could reminisce over for many years, while simultaneously seeking the opportunity to encounter fresh faces and embark on a one-of-a-kind journey.
When asked about her eagerness as a housemate, Ali expressed excitement about experiencing a brand-new setting unlike anything she’s encountered thus far or will likely encounter later on.
As a self-proclaimed cinephile, I find myself in an unusual predicament: pondering over the possibility of unknown inhabitants within the confines of this dwelling – such curiosity is insatiable!
Thomas
Age: 20
Job: Amputee footballer
Location: Carlisle
As an avid film enthusiast, I couldn’t resist diving into the world of Big Brother – a chance too compelling to pass up in my one-life adventure.
He mentioned that at his age, the things he’s going through now are memories he can share with his children and even grandchildren in the future.
“If I don’t make it to the end then that’s alright with me.”
Ryan
Age: 28
Job: Marketing and events
Location: Stockport, originally from Blackpool
As a film enthusiast with a soft spot for reality TV, I’ve long harbored a youthful aspiration – one that’s as real to me as the silver screen: becoming a housemate on Big Brother.
He expressed that over the past few years, things have become rather predictable, and individuals seem to be driven by different purposes. He believes that introducing someone ordinary like himself into the mix could bring about some excitement and change the dynamics.
Hannah

Job: HR consultant
Location: West London
Hannah decided to join Big Brother for a number of reasons, one of which was others encouraging her, saying her unique personality should be showcased to all!
She described herself as being lively and playful, always ready for laughter and friendly banter. Additionally, she’s eager to inform her children that their mother was among an exclusive group who have been featured on the show.
Izaaz

Job: Sales consultant
Location: London, originally from Swansea
As a cinephile, I’m all set to sprinkle joy and compassion like popcorn in the Big Brother house, forming bonds with numerous housemates throughout my stay.
He shared that he’s generally someone who avoids conflicts, and if there’s ever an instance where he might disagree with someone, he would strive to resolve it. He added that he believes he will contribute a great deal of optimism to the team.
Sarah
Age: 27
Job: Spa account manager
Location: Shrewsbury
Sarah is eager to try “another adventurous endeavor” before she gets settled, and Big Brother appeared as an ideal choice!
In a straightforward manner, Sarah isn’t hesitant about soliciting others’ viewpoints, whether those topics might be considered contentious or not, as she aims to create a positive atmosphere at home.
Marcello
Age: 34
Job: Youth mentor
Location: East London
Marcello submitted an application for Big Brother as a means to challenge himself, explore the limits of his growing self-assurance, and express his affection for the world in unique ways.
He clarified that his primary aim is to spread the enthusiasm and hopefulness within him, and he believes that in the long run, he has the potential to influence others positively and foster growth in them.
Dean

For quite some time, Dean has harbored an interest in the reality show Big Brother, and as early as age 11, he nurtured the ambition to participate. However, he lacked the self-assurance to pursue it.
However, with the passage of time, Dean’s obsession persisted, and whenever it resurfaced, he felt it was the right moment for him to make an application.
He added: “I really want to have a great time and experience everything that Big Brother has to offer – the highs, the lows, the good, the bad, the fun, the not so fun. I want it all.”
