Big Brother hosts feel “less nervous” about new series: “We know what works”

As a seasoned film enthusiast who has witnessed the rise and fall of numerous television shows, I must confess that the return of Big Brother feels like a reunion with an old friend. The iconic house, the nerve-wracking auditions, the anticipation of the live shows – it’s all so familiar yet refreshingly new.

Tonight is the big night – Big Brother is back!

Every year, I eagerly anticipate the arrival of a fresh batch of housemates into the legendary abode, guided by the gracious hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best. They always strive to uphold our national pride as they steer this captivating series.

In the beginning, I was quite jittery since we really wanted to uphold the integrity of the format. (Best’s quote)

Our aim was to deliver a fantastic performance for a series we are passionate about and would eagerly watch even if not involved. After witnessing the audience’s excitement towards the set, the new location, and the overall ITV ambiance, it’s clear that our efforts have paid off.

After completing two productions, Best shared that he’s taking pleasure in this ongoing series a little extra, as there’s less stress compared to earlier times.

He commented: “I truly enjoyed the initial installment, yet there was a certain pressure. On the other hand, now it seems like you’re exceptional. Everyone involved is the best at their craft. Since we know what resonates with the audience, let’s absolutely make this experience enjoyable and exciting!

AJ Odudu, like Best, expressed a mix of reduced anxiety and heightened enthusiasm as they prepared for tonight’s live event.

In simpler terms, Odudu expressed that unexpected events can occur, and those who appear most likely to win or have an easy journey may not necessarily do so. Therefore, it’s difficult to predict the outcome accurately.

Tonight on ITV2, the duo is set to make their comeback, hosting the real-time kickoff event. They’ll be greeting the fresh residents as they dive into an extraordinary six-week adventure!

Big Brother: Live Launch airs on Sunday 6th October at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
