Billy Ray Cyrus Teams Up With Son Braison Amid Family Drama

Billy Ray Cyrus is leaving the old town road and has his sights set on the future.

This year, the 63-year-old artist will debut a new album, marking his first release since 2019’s “The SnakeDoctor Circus.” Remarkably, he has enlisted the help of someone close to him for this project: his son, Braison Cyrus, who has enthusiastically taken on the task.

Over the past year, Braison has grown closer to his father than ever before, discovering unique tales, jokes, and melodies that seem exclusive to them. This special bond offers him a chance to share his father’s life journey through music, and he feels grateful for this opportunity.

He went on saying, “Braison is incredibly gifted, and this is shaping up to be his breakout year. It’s a privilege to be involved in this. This project promises to be extraordinary. I’m getting ready for what looks to be an unforgettable experience.

The as-yet-unnamed album will drop this coming summer, boasting fresh tunes penned collaboratively by father and son.

Yesterday’s music update follows a day after Trace Cyrus, one of Billy Ray’s sons with Tish Cyrus (and also Miley Cyrus, Brandi Cyrus, and Noah Cyrus), expressed a heartfelt message to his father following Billy Ray’s performance at President Donald Trump’s inauguration, which stirred conversation among fans.

From my earliest recollections, all I can recall is being captivated by you and believing you were incredibly amazing,” Trace, who was adopted by the musician as a child, initiated a January 22 Instagram post. “I aspired to emulate you. The day you welcomed me into your family was the most joyful day of my life. Regrettably, the individual I longed to be like so much is hardly recognizable now.

In his latest post, the 35-year-old expressed concern, given the persistent speculation about a rift between Billy Ray and his offspring, stating, “It appears that the world has worn you down, and though it’s evident to everyone except you, the girls and I have been worried about your wellbeing for quite some time now. However, you’ve managed to distance us all.

In the post, Trace acknowledged that he has stayed sober from alcohol for one and a half years and hinted that he may have insights into his father’s potential battles. Moreover, he focused on discussing the relationship between his father and Noah, particularly.

Trace wrote, ‘Noah longed for you to be involved in her life, but you’ve been absent. That’s your daughter – she deserves more. Somehow, much like me, she still looks up to you.’

The member of the Metro Station band ended his post with a note that he would keep on praying for his father, who hasn’t yet made a public comment in response to the message.

Billy Ray Cyrus married Tish Cyrus (née Leticia Finley) on Dec. 28, 2003.

At that point in time, they had a 12-month-old daughter named Destiny Hope Cyrus, who later became famous as Miley Cyrus, and Tish was carrying their son Braison Cyrus, who made his arrival on May 9, 1994.

Approximately seven months prior to Miley’s birth on November 23, 1992, Billy Ray’s former girlfriend Kristin Luckey welcomed their son Christopher Cody Cyrus into the world on April 8th.

For quite some time now, I’ve found myself deeply concerned about your well-being, my dear sister. Yet, despite our shared bond, it seems we’ve grown apart over the years.

Noah was especially hurt, according to Trace.

In a letter, he expressed that Noah deeply wishes for your presence in her life, but unfortunately, you haven’t been around when she needed you. He stated, “That’s your daughter. She deserves so much more than this. Somehow, just like me, she still admires you, despite everything. We are all holding onto memories of the person we once knew and hoping for the day he comes back to us.
