Approximately a week and a half from now, Black Myth: Wukong has already made a significant mark as a success story. It’s another instance in 2024 of a game surpassing predictions, selling more than 10 million copies, and attracting massive simultaneous player numbers on Steam. Though it’s been announced for Xbox Series X|S, the game is currently only playable on PlayStation 5 and PC, leaving some fans puzzled about the delay. As per leaker eXtas1s, technical troubles, specifically a “memory leak,” have hindered the release of the Xbox version. This problem seems to be impeding Xbox’s internal certification process.
According to exXtas1s on Twitter, the game is experiencing an issue called ‘Memory Leak,’ a bug known to cause major crashes that could potentially harm your Xbox console’s performance. As a result, the game has not passed Microsoft’s bug detection tests and has been postponed indefinitely until it can be optimized for Series X|S. The developers are actively working to rectify this problem and secure certification. Once they receive approval, they will announce a release date for the game, although no specific date or method has been determined yet. However, aside from that glitch, the game is almost ready to launch.
