As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that the news about the physical release of Black Myth: Wukong for PS5 has me positively thrilled! The digital-only launch was a bit of a letdown for many of us old-school gamers who still prefer the tangible feel of a disc in our hands.
The highly anticipated game “Black Myth: Wukong” has been one of the year’s top sellers, with digital sales leading the way, and it appears that this trend is about to change. Last month, developer Game Science confirmed that the action RPG will soon be available in a physical format. Now, a specific release date for this physical version has been officially announced.
The distributor for the game’s physical release, PM Studios, has announced that the PS5 version of “Black Myth: Wukong” will be available to purchase on discs from December 12. This is roughly a month away, and pre-ordering is already open.
Last month also saw Black Myth: Wukong getting rated for Xbox Series X/S by the ESRB, but it remains to be seen whether those on Microsoft’s platform can also expect to be playing the game in the imminent future.
Right now, “Black Myth: Wukong” can be played on PlayStation 5 and personal computers. Additionally, an expansion for the game is also being worked on at this time.
