As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I must say that the success of Black Myth: Wukong is truly a sight to behold. The game has set records and left even the mighty Xbox Series X/S on the sidelines, much like how I left my childhood friends behind when I upgraded to the latest gaming console.
As a passionate fan, I’m thrilled to share that Black Myth: Wukong was unleashed last week and has been an instant sensation! It’s garnered impressive critical praise, smashed engagement records on Steam, and astonishingly sold an astounding 10 million units at its launch. Unfortunately, Xbox Series X/S fans have had to sit on the sidelines so far. However, some intriguing details seem to have surfaced as to why they’ve been left waiting.
Before the action RPG’s launch, its developer Game Science admitted that its Xbox release was delayed due to technical issues. More recently, Xbox leak source eXtas1s announced on Twitter that the problem at hand was a memory leak, leading to frequent crashes and performance troubles.
The game’s start has been postponed indefinitely as Game Science works diligently on resolving a problem. It’s suggested that Black Myth: Wukong is nearly prepared for an Xbox launch, but the duration needed to correct the mentioned memory leak issue remains uncertain.
As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but speculate that Microsoft is eagerly awaiting the release of “Black Myth: Wukong” on their consoles, given its impressive sales and the boost it’s giving to PS5 hardware sales. After all, missing out on the buzz and success of a game like “Baldur’s Gate 3” last year must have been quite a blow, so another similar scenario would undoubtedly be frustrating for them.
