The health regen and movement speed boost after every elimination, coupled with the Bruiser, Gung-Ho, and Bankroll Perks, promises an aggressive playstyle that’s sure to rack up Scorestreaks in no time!

As the Call of Duty: Black Oops 6 open beta nears, the gracious teams at Treyarch and Raven have shared an exclusive walkthrough with us for the maps you’ll experience during the upcoming weekend sessions.

Earlier, participation in the Black Ops 6 beta was limited to those who pre-ordered the game. However, this restriction is being lifted soon, allowing everyone to engage in the fun activities like diving and sliding that come with Omnimovement.

Be sure to have a nosy at the Perks, too, so you can kit yourself out the best you can.

Ultimately, taking both the developer’s suggestions and your own judgement into account, it’s highly likely that you will excel in the Ranked Play mode by the time the complete Black Ops 6 game is launched.

But let’s get straight to it!

Prior to the second week of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 beta, starting at 6pm BST on September 6th for all players, the Call of Duty team has prepared a comprehensive guide to help you excel on the accessible maps.

No matter if you’re visiting a Mediterranean village or exploring the remains of an old city, these suggestions and advice will help you reach the top and earn open beta rewards before the release of the complete game.

This past weekend, advancement was limited to level 20, but in the upcoming weekend, gamers can expect fresh maps (including core and strike), an increase in the level cap to 30, and new game modes to intensify the excitement of the Black Ops 6 multiplayer beta test.

Before starting your initial match and advancing through different stages, several default loadouts containing weapons, special abilities (Perks), score-triggered rewards (Scorestreaks), and equipment have been unlocked and prepped for you. These are readily available for use without further customization, so suit up and prepare to dive into the battlefields.

maps can be divided into two primary types: In Black Ops 6, you’ll find twelve entirely fresh Core maps specifically designed for 6v6 gameplay. Moreover, there are four innovative, compact Strike maps that can be played in either the Face Off mode with 6v6 or 2v2 configurations.

Core 6v6 Maps:

  • Derelict (Playable at Beta)
  • Rewind (Playable at Beta)
  • Scud (Playable at Beta)
  • Skyline (Playable at Beta)
  • Babylon (Playable at Beta, Weekend 2)
  • Protocol (Training Map at Beta, MP Map Available at Launch)
  • Subsonic (Available at Launch)
  • Red Card (Available at Launch)
  • Vault (Available at Launch)
  • Vorkuta (Available at Launch)
  • Lowtown (Available at Launch)
  • Payback (Available at Launch)

Strike Maps:

  • Gala (Playable at Beta)
  • Pit (Playable at Beta)
  • Stakeout (Playable at Beta, Weekend 2)
  • Sand House (Available at Launch)

CORE MAPS

DERELICT – Available during Weekend 1 & 2

Nestled deep within the Appalachian Mountains, enveloped by dense foliage, lies an eerie train cemetery – this path could potentially guide you towards a path of ruins.

Right smack in the middle of the map, directly before the Engine, lies a strategically potent yet challenging chokepoint. Surrounded by the Tower, Depot, and Tracks, there’s ample protection from external threats, but minimal cover within this critical area itself.

Prepare sufficient weaponry to provide covering fire and collaborate with your team to establish interlocking defensive positions akin to a crossfire setup. Mastery of this area will compel the enemy to maneuver around it, wasting their time and potentially dividing their forces.

REWIND – Available during Weekend 1 & 2

On Opening Night Live, you might recognize this map as it’s based in Liberty Shopping Plaza, situated on the border of Liberty Falls, West Virginia. It presents various key locations like the Video Store, the Back Alley, or simply the Street. Notably, the Courtyard is a frequent scene location.

This spot offers the quickest spin in the map’s center while minimizing chances of getting trapped by equipment or surprise firefights. Keep in mind that The Courtyard carries some risks since it is an outdoor area, making it more visible from afar. However, always remember to consult your minimap to gather information about what lies ahead.

SCUD – Available during Weekend 1 & 2

In the heart of a military base, you’ll find a radar antenna that has crumbled into debris, and nearby structures bear scars from explosions, with holes in their roofs and walls. For an effective way to deliver damage to your adversaries, navigate through the winding path made from shattered remnants of the radar dish on its northern side.

Attach your weapon to the side panels for an overview of the Outpost and Scuds, or opt for a prone position for a covert vantage point into the outer Trenches. When detected, use the nearby hole in the ground as a swift escape route to the lower Tunnel.

SKYLINE – Available during Weekend 1 & 2

This map showcases a resort’s rooftop, offering an immaculate lounge, kitchen, fitness center, swimming pool, and a cutting-edge penthouse suite complete with a panic room. While any Combat Specialty can thrive here, the Enforcer stands out as an ideal fit for Skyline.

Enhance your health recovery rate and speed up your movement following each kill, opting for the Bruiser, Gung-Ho, and Bankroll Perks to adopt a rapid, offensive gameplay approach that quickly accumulates Scorestreaks.

BABYLON – New for Weekend 2

This map guides you through the remains of an old city’s rubble, where you can scramble over its fallen arches and squeeze under its grand palace.

There’s ample opportunity to explore vertically in this area, so keep agile as you orbit around the central shrine, searching for the most advantageous ground. Alternatively, return to the chapel or storage area for hidden vantage points, or charge headlong into the heart of it all.

STRIKE MAPS

GALA – Available during Weekend 1 & 2

Instead of “Nothing says blockbuster combat,” you could say “There’s nothing quite like the atmosphere of a big fight” or “A blockbuster combat feeling is unmatched by anything else.”

Move to your designated spot and neutralize adversaries trying to pass through the central boundary. Maintaining a strategic advantage is not without its challenges, as opponents start to predict our attacks based on their understanding of our tactics.

PIT – Available during Weekend 1 & 2

In this map, you’re directed to a compact part of a Russian mine tunnel hidden within a cavern. The only source of sunlight comes from the ventilation shaft overhead. Explore along the rail tracks leading to the upturned mine cart, or climb onto the pipes for a bird’s-eye view of the activities below.

Every inch of cover matters in a tight spot like the Pit. Move in, over, and around the mine carts throughout to find the best angle for your next fight. Better than getting caught out in the open with nothing but dust for cover.

STAKEOUT – New for Weekend 2

Nestled in the picturesque Mediterranean location of Avalon, this compact apartment offers a layout that operators might find themselves navigating through the lounge, dining area, sleeping quarters, and extending onto the balcony.

Remnants of spy equipment serve as evidence of the intelligence-gathering process, a broken-down wall providing access for the previous operatives to retrieve their tools.

In a fast-moving environment filled with challenges, make sure you’re well-prepared to fully harness the advantages of Omnimovement, causing your adversaries to scurry for shelter in fear.
