Black Ops 6 players want this one change reversed after latest patch makes scorestreak worse

As a long-time Call of Duty enthusiast who has spent countless hours honing my strategies and perfecting my gameplay, I must say that the recent changes to UAVs and CUAVs in Black Ops 6 have left me somewhat disheartened.

Players express frustration over modifications to Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and Counter-UAVs in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, as these changes have affected their ability to accumulate more Experience Points (XP) via the scorestreak system.

Starting with Season 1 in Black Ops 6, a series of updates were introduced, such as fresh map releases and Ranked Play mode. However, a minor adjustment to the UAV and Counter UAV scorestreaks has left certain gamers unsatisfied.

Black Ops 6 refer to Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (drones), and the “CUAV” is a type of drone specifically designed for counter measures (anti-drone technology).

Here’s the breakdown of the UAV and CUAV changes in Black Ops 6 and why their users are frustrated.

Black Ops 6 cuts XP rewards for UAVs and CUAVs

Back in October when Black Ops 6 hit the screens, I found it quite rewarding that using UAVs and CUAVs during gameplay would earn me 15 extra experience points each time they helped me spot a teammate’s kill, as long as the scorestreak was active.

This facilitated additional points for backup players, especially those relying on the Strategist bonuses, to swiftly amass their scorestreak rewards through these assists, simultaneously racking up more experience en route to their next level-up or prestige.

Instead, let me put it this way: The recent update has brought some changes. Now, when Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and Counter UAVs (CUAVs) help players discover an enemy, they only reward 5 experience points for the assist, reducing their bonus scores by about two-thirds.

For individuals operating Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) or Counter-Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (CUAVs), the pace at which they accumulate streak rewards could become significantly sluggish.

Various individuals have voiced their discontent regarding these alterations on the internet, among them being a Reddit user requesting that Treyarch revert the changes.

As a film enthusiast, I too found myself questioning if the recent modifications to the UAV scoring system, which seemed absent from the most recent updates, were purposeful adjustments or unintended glitches.

The update on November 15 mentioned regarding the drone (UAV) was: “Enhanced steadiness while operating the drone.

On the other hand, not all Black Ops 6 players found the change to be problematic. Some Reddit users even pointed out that receiving 30 points towards your scorestreaks for each teammate’s kill could potentially be too powerful.

If this encourages players to opt for different scorestreaks instead of UAV and CUAV, it could potentially benefit those not utilizing the Ghost perk.
