As a cinema enthusiast, let me tell you from my perspective that the movie “Captain America: Civil War” is a veritable feast of action and intrigue. To begin with, the rift between Captain America (Steve Rogers) and Iron Man (Tony Stark) escalates to an all-time high as they find themselves on opposing sides of the Sokovia Accords argument. The tension deepens when it seems that Bucky Barnes, aka the Winter Soldier, is back in action, causing chaos globally.

In this tumultuous scenario, Captain America decides to take matters into his own hands and assembles a team to rescue his friend and thwart the true villain. Iron Man, not one to be left behind, gathers his own squad, including T’Challa, the newly crowned king of Wakanda. The movie marks the first introduction of Wakandans in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a significant event as it paves the way for the upcoming “Black Panther.

The standalone film for our protagonist continues immediately following the incidents of Civil War, as he goes back home to handle the aftermath caused by his father’s demise. Sadly, Chadwick Boseman won’t be reprising his role in the sequel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Yet, the 2022 production pays tribute to T’Challa’s debut by enhancing its most hilarious moment.

Tony Stark Goes Big-Game Hunting in Captain America: Civil War

Following Helmut Zemo’s activation of the Winter Soldier and gathering essential information about Siberia, he unleashes the HYDRA agent against the Avengers. The team fights him relentlessly until Steve manages to ground a helicopter his former comrade was attempting to steal, leading to his capture. Steve gathers as much intel on Zemo as possible and contacts some associates to enlist their help in Germany. Simultaneously, Tony recognizes that he’s in a difficult situation, so he asks Black Widow to involve Black Panther while he returns to New York to complete the team.

Tony arrives at Queen’s location and visits May Parker’s apartment. He’s been monitoring Peter Parker, who has been patrolling the streets of New York City as a vigilante for several months. Tony deceives May about a scholarship offer to meet with Peter privately. During their conversation, he notices that Peter seems to have all the qualities needed to be a hero. Tony then extends an invitation for Peter to join him in Germany. At first, Peter refuses due to his schoolwork, but Tony disapproves of this excuse and manages to convince Spider-Man instead. Although no one else is around to witness their conversation, it’s clear that Tony’s attitude influences someone.

Shuri Does Her Best Tony Stark Impression in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

In “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”, Shuri finds herself in a difficult situation as she’s without her father and brother. Matters deteriorate further when Namor appears at Wakanda’s coastline. He’s displeased with the U.S. government’s pursuit of vibranium in the seas and requests assistance from the Wakandan royal family. Naturally, they’re hesitant due to their secrecy, but they do heed his warning earnestly.

In search of an inventor named Riri Williams, who constructed the device used by the government for monitoring vibranium, Namor is on the hunt. Shuri and Okoye locate her at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and enter her dorm room to speak with her. Initially, Riri assumes she’s being recruited like Spider-Man; however, Shuri clarifies that the circumstances are far more urgent. The princess informs her that there are parties intent on causing harm to Riri, necessitating their immediate departure. Despite this revelation, Riri remains confused, explaining that she has a class in just 15 minutes – a concern that evidently does not faze Shuri.

Instead of passively yielding as Peter does, Riri chooses to defend herself by flinging objects from her room at the Wakandans. Okoye swiftly handles them, and following some barbs tossed in Okoye’s direction by Riri, the group embarks on their journey to Wakanda. This situation showcases Riri’s character, as she values her independence enough not to follow a stranger willingly, unlike Peter who is quick to engage in physical altercations when given approval by Iron Man.
