Black Panther Spin-Offs: Release Dates SHOCKING!

The “Black Panther” universe is set to expand on Disney+ this summer with two upcoming spin-off series. Marvel Studios secured a five-year TV partnership with Ryan Coogler and Proximity Media in 2021, aiming to create “Black Panther” spin-offs for the streaming platform. Some projects that have been hinted at involve a live-action series within the Kingdom of Wakanda and an origin tale for Danai Gurira’s character Okoye.

Previously, the hero from Wakanda has starred in two individual adventures (which will soon become three), and played significant parts in “Captain America: Civil War,” “Avengers: Infinity War,” and “Avengers: Endgame.” The mantle was handed over from the late Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa to Letitia Wright’s Shuri in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.” Next year, she will reprise her role as Shuri alongside other Marvel Cinematic Universe superheroes in “Avengers: Doomsday.

Disney+ Will Release Two Black Panther Spin-Offs in 2025

Ironheart

In the continuation of “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” we’ll see Dominique Thorne return as the MIT-educated prodigy, Riri Williams, who sports an Iron Man-inspired suit. This character will be featured in a six-episode series on Disney+, titled “Ironheart“.

The series titled “Ironheart” was produced in 2022 prior to its MCU premiere, but it won’t be released until this summer. Notably, it will serve as a direct continuation of “Black Panther 2,” with Ryan Coogler, the director of the movie, overseeing production.

As a passionate film enthusiast, I can’t help but share my excitement about the latest behind-the-scenes sneak peek Marvel Studios dropped on X. This tantalizing glimpse confirms that the upcoming series unfolds in the days following the events of “Wakanda Forever.” In her debut within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Riri Williams, a brilliant inventor, catches the eye of Namor after creating a Vibranium detector. The story then takes an exhilarating turn as she teams up with Wakanda to engage in a thrilling battle against Talokan.

Furthermore, while Ironheart’s armor bears a striking resemblance to Tony Stark’s Iron Man suits, this tale isn’t about Iron Man’s mantle being passed on. Instead, it focuses on Ironheart forging her unique path and establishing her own legacy.

In the spin-off of the “Black Panther” franchise, viewers can expect an exciting clash between magic and advanced technology, with Anthony Ramos portraying Parker Robbins, also known as The Hood. He wields a mystical hood that was obtained from a demon.

Ironheart will begin with a three-episode premiere on June 24.

Eyes of Wakanda

The “Eyes of Wakanda” is a four-part animated anthology series, overseen by Ryan Coogler, which chronicles the exploits of courageous Wakandan warriors spanning history. They embark on an exciting world tour to retrieve lost Vibranium artifacts.

In this thrilling journey around the world, our protagonists are tasked with executing perilous tasks to seize Vibranium relics from the adversaries of Wakanda – these are the Hatut Zaraze, and this is their tale.

The summary establishes that the storyline revolves around the Hatut Zaraze, known as the Dogs of War, a clandestine law enforcement group within Wakanda, responsible for handling threats, both internal and external, in a manner similar to the CIA.

The series represents the first time at the helm for Todd Harris, a skilled storyboard artist known for his work on Black Panther, Thunderbolts, and collaborations with Coogler on Sinners.

Included in the confirmed lineup are Winnie Harlow, a renowned Canadian model; Cress Williams, famously known for his role in Black Lightning; Steve Toussaint, who recently appeared on House of the Dragon; and several others as well.

Eyes of Wakanda will premiere on August 6.

Black Panther 3 Is Finally Coming Soon Too

Marvel Studios has grand designs for its Wakandan hero, with Black Panther set to feature in three upcoming productions. Apart from his roles in “Black Panther 3” and “Eyes of Wakanda”, Letitia Wright is scheduled to reprise her character Shuri next year in “Avengers: Doomsday”. This will be her first ensemble performance since assuming the role, marking a significant milestone for her.

It seems that Wakanda will play a larger role than initially expected, as Winston Duke is set to reappear in Avengers 5 as M’Baku, who appears to be the new ruler of the African nation.

It’s been suggested that the forthcoming Avengers blockbusters could pave the way for a fresh T’Challa character within the MCU, given whispers that Marvel Studios is planning to replace Chadwick Boseman in the role, four years after his unfortunate demise.

After the debut of “Sinners”, it’s been said that franchise director, Ryan Coogler, is shifting his focus towards “Black Panther 3”. Moreover, sources suggest that Marvel Studios might be aiming for a release window in February 2028.

In early 2021, Ryan Coogler’s Proximity Media secured a five-year television contract with Disney+. This agreement is set to conclude at the beginning of next year. Whether there will be additional Black Panther spin-offs as part of a renewed deal remains uncertain, but given their ongoing collaboration on the third installment, it appears probable.
