This month boasts some major releases such as “DOOM: The Dark Ages“, yet there’s also room for lesser-known titles like “Blades of Fire” from MercurySteam. Today, Game Informer unveiled fresh gameplay, providing a closer look at the combat and disclosing new information about dismemberment. You can watch it below.
Despite being a game primarily focused on combat, Blades of Fire encourages strategic weapon selection based on enemy types, such as the Troll. Stunning enemies enables limb-chopping, altering their behavior. For instance, severing the Troll’s left arm takes away its club. Additionally, beheading the beast makes it attack wildly, even when it can’t spot you.
You might find Adso, your accompanying scholar, quite chatty and always observing potential foes. If you prefer less conversation, you can send him back to the base. Yet, there are times when he cannot be dismissed because he may stumble upon an artifact that requires examination.
On May 22nd, the game titled “Blades of Fire” will be released for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and personal computers. If you’d like to know more about the various kinds of damage it inflicts or need a refresher on blacksmithing mechanics, check out these resources: [Link to Resources]
