Why Are There Rumors Of Feuding Between Anna Kendrick And Blake Lively?

For several weeks now, the cast of the sequel to the 2018 hit movie “A Simple Favor,” starring Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively, has been out promoting their new film titled “Another Simple Favor.” Previously, there were whispers about a less-than-friendly relationship between these two leads during the making of the original. However, these rumors escalated in early March, when the movie had its world premiere at SXSW. At this event, Kendrick, known for her role in “Pitch Perfect,” was asked about reuniting with Lively from “Gossip Girl.” Her response was vague, simply saying, “Oh, you know…” and letting her sentence trail off as she engaged with fans.

At another glamorous film premiere, the director and lead actress of “Woman of the Hour” along with the actress from “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” were present. Their appearance together sparked further conjecture among fans about any potential friction between them. A body language expert observed that their poses appeared rigid, suggesting a lack of genuine camaraderie or enjoyment between these fashionable personalities who seemed to have intentionally matched their outfits for the event.

How Did Blake Lively Support Anna Kendrick Amid Another Simple Favor Feud Rumors?

Initially in January, the director of the film, Paul Feig (who had previously directed the first movie), refuted claims about the female cast members having conflicts. This came after a post on X suggested that the movie, “Another Simple Favor,” might be delayed or canceled due to Blake Lively’s legal issues with her co-star and director of “It Ends with Us,” Justin Baldoni, as well as alleged growing tensions with Anna Kendrick. Feig dismissed these claims as false. Now, it seems that Lively is once again trying to dispel rumors by showing her support for Kendrick following her recent interview on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Kendrick showed off her singing talents during a new segment called “Song Scramble,” which saw her and Fallon trade off at trying to mix the lyrics from one song to the tune of a completely different popular song. Lively took to Instagram Stories to compliment Kendrick’s performance:

In addition to praising Kendrick’s performance during the segment, Lively expressed her desire for having either “MMMBop” or “Beautiful Things” as her personalized phone ringtone. The complete video is available for viewing below:

WOW, right? Just look at Lively’s full comment, and it’s hard not to agree with her:

Mathematics: Anna Kendrick is uniquely exceptional in her talent. It’s absolutely astounding, bordering on incredible. Could I please have that as my ringtone? Thank you kindly.

I fully acknowledge their efforts to maintain a professional atmosphere and concentrate on the film, and truth be told, whether they click personally or not isn’t something fans generally worry about, as far as delivering another great movie like the first one is concerned. After all, we’ve all found ourselves working alongside individuals with whom we don’t always see eye-to-eye, but as long as the job gets done effectively, that’s what truly counts in the end.
