With each passing episode, the tension mounts and the stakes get higher as our beloved Ichigo Kurosaki and his allies fight against the formidable Yhwach and the Wandenreich.

As a hardcore gamer immersed in the world of “Bleach,” I can confidently say that the third part of The Thousand-Year Blood War, titled “Conflict,” has undeniably catapulted this iconic anime back into the limelight during the 2024 fall season. With the previous season ending on a heart-stopping cliffhanger – Yhwach, the villainous figurehead of the Wandenreich, was making his move towards the Soul King – Ichigo and his allies are left scrambling to take down this formidable adversary and his mighty forces. Though the original Japanese series has already produced a few episodes, Western anime enthusiasts who follow as Shinigami fans have been eagerly awaiting the English Dub. Fortunately, there’s some fantastic news on that front!

When the show concluded after airing 366 episodes, many shonen anime enthusiasts assumed that the Thousand-Year Blood War arc might never be brought to animation. Fortunately, in recent years, it was revealed that not only would Bleach return, but also several members of the original Japanese voice actors and the English dub cast would reprise their roles. For Ichigo Kurosaki, both Masakazu Morita and Johnny Yong Bosch were eager to once again don the shoes of the substitute Soul Reaper.

Blood War And Beyond

If you’re curious about how many episodes of Bleach remain before the final fight against Yhwach, the ongoing season is divided into four parts or “cours.” This suggests we’ve passed the halfway point in this new Soul Society saga. The exact release date for the fourth and final part of this supernatural shonen series hasn’t been announced yet, but considering past trends, it should air next year.

Regarding what could follow the Thousand-Year Blood War, it’s currently uncertain as creator Tite Kubo has concluded the main fight against the Sternritter, but he recently revisited the series in a special one-shot titled “Bleach: No Breaths From Hell“. Lately, Studio Pierrot has decided to handle their anime projects on a seasonal basis, which means that with popular series like Boruto: Naruto Next Generations and Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, the Blood War might keep the Soul Society on hold for some time.
