Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Unleashes Renji’s Bankai in Original Anime Fight: Watch

As a lifelong Bleach fanatic who’s been following this series since its inception back when I was still rocking my SOLID SERIES cap and sporting a spiky haircut, I must say that the latest episode of Thousand-Year Blood War has left me absolutely spellbound! Renji unleashing his Bankai against Uryu Ishida? Never saw it coming, but boy, was it a spectacle to behold!

In the animated adaptation of “Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War,” they’ve been incorporating some of the most significant battles from the Shonen Jump manga, and creator Tite Kubo has collaborated with Studio Pierrot to introduce surprising moments. To expand upon the original Soul Society vs. Quincy Clan storyline, Kubo, the artist who brought the Shinigami to life, has been teaming up with the production studio to develop unique battles for the third phase of the anime series. This is evident in the seventh episode of this new season, as Kubo has crafted a fresh fight where Renji uses his Bankai against Uryu Ishida.

Heed this notice: If you haven’t watched Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, Episode 7 yet, be aware that we’re about to venture into significant spoiler territory regarding “Gate of The Sun.” While Ichigo Kurosaki remains the strongest Soul Society member at present, Renji has significantly upgraded his skills after undergoing training with the Royal Guard. In a flashback scene, we witness Renji and his Zabimaru’s relationship flourishing as he learns about his newfound powers and employs his Bankai more effectively.

Renji Vs. Ishida: A Fight For The Anime Ages

In the animated series “Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War,” Tite Kubo collaborates with Pierrot to devise unique battles that were not depicted or occurred in the initial manga. Notably, the confrontation between the Royal Guard and Yhwach’s lieutenants in the second season of the anime is a prime example of this creative liberty. In the latest episode, Renji encounters Uryu Ishida, once his trusted ally who has now joined the dark side.

Through being a Quincy, Ishida appears to have pledged loyalty to the Sternritter, eager to battle Ichigo and his allies. On the other hand, Renji demonstrates the progress he’s made while training with the Royal Guard, but still finds himself outmatched against Ishida’s increased power. Meanwhile, Uryu gains an edge thanks to Yhwach’s enhancements, making him a formidable opponent. Despite using his Zagaizekko, Renji fails to secure victory and instead faces difficulty in this encounter due to Ishida’s newfound strength.

The Blood War Rages On

Besides witnessing Renji and Ishida’s battle unfold, the Blood War has brought most of Soul Society together in their last effort to defeat Yhwach. However, this mission won’t be simple even with the Shinigami’s numbers, as Yhwach now wields the power of the Soul King. Fortunately, before we can watch Ichigo fight Yhwach again, the anime is preparing for many more battles in its third season.

Currently, it’s unclear if Bleach will continue beyond the Thousand-Year Blood War arc conclusion. Although Tite Kubo produced a single manga chapter showcasing the Soul Society’s lives post-fighting Yhwach, no definite information has been given about this being the beginning of a new storyline for Bleach’s future. The lasting influence that Bleach, this iconic supernatural shonen series, has had on the anime world will persist for some time.
