After completing “Nobody Saves the World,” DrinkBox Studios unveiled its upcoming action RPG titled “Blighted.” This game is set in a “vibrant Western-themed nightmare” where players fight against Sorcisto to retrieve the memories of their village and combat the Blight. You can watch the first trailer here.
Instead of being a side-scrolling action RPG like many others, this game offers an isometric viewpoint with a focus on hack-and-slash combat, along with strategic parrying and counterattacking. The Blight serves as a key feature, changing the environment and enemies, sometimes providing access to new areas. Defeating bosses allows you to consume their brains (much like in Sorcisto), gaining new skills in return. But be warned, each victory comes at the cost of increased Blight, which may lead to unwanted repercussions.
Following tradition with its past namesakes, you’ll meet peculiar figures and beings across Blighted. This game features a drop-in/drop-out cooperative mode, and its music is skillfully crafted by Jim Guthrie, who has also contributed to the soundtrack of Nobody Saves the World.
The game “Blighted” hasn’t set a specific launch date yet, but you can add it to your wishlist and look forward to playing it on your PC via Steam right now.
