Following the successful remake of Silent Hill 2 last year, Bloober Team and Konami have announced they’re continuing their collaboration. Right now, they’re developing a new game using Konami’s intellectual property, but specifics are yet to be disclosed. However, we know that Konami will act as the publisher for this upcoming project.
According to Bloober Team, the trust established from the success of “Silent Hill 2” laid the groundwork for entering into another collaboration on a new project. This decision aligns with their strategic goal to grow their in-house development team within a first-party structure.
Piotr Babieno, the CEO, mentioned that working alongside Konami has been incredibly beneficial and productive. By exchanging knowledge and expertise, we’ve managed to produce top-notch work together. Although we can’t disclose too much information at the moment, we are optimistic that our collaboration will generate as much enthusiasm among fans as it does for us. We eagerly look forward to unveiling something truly remarkable when the opportunity arises.
As a passionate gamer, I recently dived into the chilling world of Silent Hill 2, which dropped in October for both PS5 and PC. In just three days, it managed to sell over a million copies, and as we speak, it’s surpassed the two-million mark! The critical acclaim is well-deserved – if you haven’t already, be sure to check out our review to understand why this remake is truly exceptional.
In addition to their current project, Bloober Team is simultaneously developing three other projects:
1. “Cronos: The New Dawn”, a chilling sci-fi horror game set for release this year.
2. “Project M”, which was previously collaboratively developed with the studio behind “Serial Cleaners”. (Draw Distance)
3. “Project R” in partnership with Skybound Entertainment.
Each of these projects promises to be unique and exciting additions to their portfolio!
