NetEase Games, the publisher, has unveiled their first AAA title – a standalone, action-adventure game called Blood Message, and it’s visually stunning.
24 Entertainment, famous for its online multiplayer game Naraka: Bladepoint, is presently working on a new project. Although this game is distinct from their past work, the debut trailer hints at a promising outcome.
The video game powered by Unreal Engine 5 is set in ancient China during the waning years of the Tang Dynasty. You assume the roles of an unnamed messenger and his son, embarking on an eastern journey through Asia to deliver a message whose outcome determines the fate of their war-scarred homeland.
The movie appears to draw significant influence from popular Western blockbusters, particularly reminiscent of Uncharted. Blood Message seems to embody the style of epic action-adventure movies that Sony’s in-house studios are known for, featuring grand action sequences, a strong emphasis on story and characters, and stunning visual effects.
According to Zhipeng Hu, Lead Producer and Executive Vice President at NetEase, they are introducing players to an era of intense adventure with Blood Message. As our initial single-player focused title from NetEase Games, after two decades in the gaming industry, we’re ready to offer a genuinely epic and cinematic experience for gamers worldwide.
The game doesn’t have a set release date at the moment, but it’s definitely worth keeping an eye on over the next few months.
