What Is Blue Box About?

The “Blue Box” series, published weekly in Shueisha’s magazine, has garnered attention for its unique approach compared to other works. The narrative revolves around Taiki Inomata, a high school student with ambitions to compete in the national badminton championships. Each day, he is motivated by Chinatsu Kano, a basketball player striving to bring her team to the nationals, who tirelessly trains early in the gym.

As they unexpectedly share the same residence and spend more quality time together, Taiki and Chinatsu help foster each other’s aspirations. Uncovering love in the process, Blue Box subsequently broadens its scope to encompass a diverse array of characters who are all pursuing sports ambitions and romantic entanglements. Navigating their remaining high school years and beyond, this heartwarming manga has been a stealth success, but its popularity is poised for a significant surge with the upcoming anime debut.
