As a gamer with a soft spot for sports anime and a keen eye for intriguing narratives, I must say, the upcoming release of “Blue Lock The Movie –Episode Nagi” has me all fired up! I remember vividly when the manga first dropped, and it quickly became one of my favorites due to its unique take on soccer and intense character development.


“Blue Lock The Movie -Episode Nagi-” is set to arrive on Japanese shelves with its upcoming Blu-ray release, and they’ve unveiled the cover art for this exciting home media debut! The anime adaptation of Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura’s “Blue Lock” manga series concluded last year, promising an immediate continuation through a new feature film and second season of the TV series. After its North American release earlier this summer, the new Blue Lock movie is now gearing up for an international home release as well.

What Is Blue Lock The Movie -Episode Nagi-?

Under Shunsuke Ishikawa’s direction, studio Eight-Bit produced “Blue Lock The Movie -Episode Nagi-“, with Yusuke Nomura providing character designs and Taku Kishimoto handling the screenplay. Featuring a voice cast from the anime, this movie was shown in US theaters this Summer. However, as of now, it’s unclear when or if it will be released on home media outside of Japan. Sony Pictures and Crunchyroll give us a sneak peek at what we can anticipate from the new film.

“Nagi Seishiro, a second-year high school student who often complained about life’s hassles, found excitement when classmate Mikage Reo, with his ambition to win the World Cup, unearthed Nagi’s hidden knack for soccer. Inspired, Nagi started playing and showcasing his exceptional talent. One unexpected day, he gets an invitation to the enigmatic BLUE LOCK Project. Here, he meets top-tier strikers from across the nation. This project will lead him into a world he’s never experienced before, helping him realize his dream of becoming the best, together with Reo.
