Good news for Bluey fans! For the very first time, a brand-new digital short titled “Archaeology” is being released worldwide. You can enjoy it instantly!
In 2021, a brief production titled “Bandit’s Archaeological Discovery Talk” was introduced. This piece spotlights Bandit, Bluey’s father, as he delves into the fascinating findings of an ancient archaeological excavation.
The brief 90-second video provides a glimpse into Bandit’s career, offering fans an opportunity to perceive Bandit in a fresh perspective.
Originally, the video was exclusively posted on Bluey’s Facebook page three years back, only accessible to Australian fans. However, due to Bandit’s increasing fame, BBC Studios Digital Brands has since made it possible for everyone to view “Archaeology” on the Official Bluey YouTube channel.

It’s been demonstrated that Bluey has achieved tremendous success globally, as evidenced by Nielsen Media Research data showing it was the top-streamed series of 2024 in the U.S., with a staggering 56 billion minutes viewed by audiences nationwide.
It is also the number one kids show on CBeebies, iPlayer and Disney Plus in the UK.
Looking forward, there’s much more excitement ahead from the Bluey crew! BBC Studios and Ludo Studio have confirmed plans for a film, scheduled for release on the big screen in 2027.
As per the movie summary, I’m set to join Bluey, a delightful, tireless, blue heeler pup, on her ongoing escapades. She resides with her mom, dad, and little sis, Bingo.
Joe Brumm, the show’s creator, expressed delight about the upcoming movie announcement: “Working with a more expansive format on The Sign in series 3 was truly enjoyable, and taking it to a full-length feature film seems like a logical progression from that experience.
For years, I’ve felt that Bluey should have its own big-screen movie. My vision is for it to be more than just a film; instead, I envision it as an immersive experience that the entire family can share and cherish.
I’m thrilled to carry on collaborating with Cecilia Persson, Tom Fussell, and the BBC Studios crew, along with Dana Walden, Alan Bergman, and Disney, as we jointly work on transforming the latest Bluey tale into a cinematic experience.
