The upcoming movie is set to be penned and helmed by series creator Joe Brumm himself. Regarding the announcement of this cinematic project, he expressed his excitement, stating: “I had a fantastic time delving into a more expansive narrative with The Sign in Series 3, so expanding that scope further into a full-length feature film feels like a seamless progression from my previous work.

I’ve long believed that Bluey should have a feature film. I envision it as an immersive experience for everyone in the family to share. I’m thrilled about our ongoing collaboration with Cecilia Persson, Tom Fussell, and BBC Studios, along with Dana Walden, Alan Bergman, and Disney, to bring this fresh Bluey tale to life on the big screen.

In much the same way, executive producers Charlie Aspinwall and Daley Pearson expressed in a statement: “For eight years now, we’ve been fortunate to collaborate with an exceptional group of over fifty artists and producers. Their skill, commitment, and imagination have transformed Bluey into the cherished series it is today.

By laying the groundwork, they’ve opened up an amazing chance to bring Bluey’s universe to life on the big screen. We can’t wait to demonstrate once more that Queensland is home to exceptional talent and share a fresh, enchanting Bluey tale by Joe Brumm with families worldwide.

Disney Entertainment’s co-chairpersons, Alan Bergman and Dana Walden, stated that the popular animated series “Bluey” brings together families globally with its touching tales about play, creativity, and bonding.

They went on saying, “We’re thrilled to grow our partnership with BBC Studios to take ‘Bluey’ to the cinema – for a truly immersive experience! – and we’re extremely thankful to Joe Brumm for crafting a universe that keeps captivating and amusing families all around the world.

At the moment, it’s confirmed that the voice actors from the show such as Melanie Zanetti and David McCormack will appear, and the music score will be crafted by Joff Bush, who is known for composing the series’ music.

In simple terms, Richard Jeffrey, who’s been involved in the creation of seasons 1 to 3 of Bluey, is going to jointly direct, while Amber Naismith (known for her work on Happy Feet and The Lego Movie) will take up the role as producer.
