Michael Pitt is facing legal trouble.
A former cast member from “Boardwalk Empire” was arrested in Brooklyn, New York, on May 2, following accusations of sexual abuse and assault, as reported by TopMob News on May 7, based on the arrest records they reviewed.
According to a report by NBC News, the accusations relate to four distinct occurrences in the years 2020 and 2021, as stated in an indictment issued by the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office.
In one instance, as stated in the accusation, Pitt is said to have choked an individual. Furthermore, in different occurrences throughout 2021, the actor from “Dawson’s Creek” was reportedly charged with hurting someone using a four-by-four and a block of cement. The indictment does not clarify how many people are accusing Pitt of these alleged crimes or provide details about their relationships to him, as per the source.
Currently, Pitt is dealing with nine accusations: two instances of first-degree sexual misconduct; one charge of first-degree sexual conduct beyond the legal limits; one charge of third-degree sexual misconduct; two counts of second-degree assault; two attempts at second-degree assault; and one count of second-degree strangulation, as per court records inspected by TopMob.
As a die-hard admirer putting it, I’ve got to share that the 44-year-old has vehemently denied all allegations and, as per the records I’ve scrutinized, he’s now out of custody following a $15,000 bond. Mark your calendars, folks, because come June 17, we’ll see him back in court again.
After the apprehension, Jason Goldman, Brad Pitt’s lawyer, once again affirmed that his client maintains his innocence regarding any alleged misconduct.
In a statement to TopMob News on May 7th, Goldman expressed concern that an individual like Mr. Pitt, who’s known for his professional achievements and would never commit such acts, could be arrested based on the unverified claims of an unreliable person. He further added that this allegation, which is suspiciously brought up around four to five years after the supposed incident, emerged during a time when the two parties were in a mutually agreed relationship.
The attorney stated, “We’ve found evidence that clears our client, and the charges against them are expected to be dropped.
