As a long-time wrestling enthusiast who’s seen my fair share of surprises and twists, I must say that AEW’s Fright Night edition of Dynamite was a real treat! The unexpected change for the AEW Tag Team Championships was exciting, but the real shocker came at the end with the entrance of none other than Bobby Lashley!

During AEW’s Halloween-themed special, Dynamite, there were some delightful surprises in store, one of which was an unanticipated shift for the AEW Tag Team Championships. However, it wasn’t until the conclusion of the show that the most significant change took place, following a bout between Shelton Benjamin and Swerve Strickland. In the end, Strickland emerged victorious, prompting MVP to make a sudden phone call that brought out the ex-WWE All Mighty star, Bobby Lashley. Lashley stormed into the ring to confront Strickland, and with a powerful clothesline, he knocked Strickland unconscious. By the episode’s end, The Hurt Syndicate had taken control of Dynamite.

Tonight’s Dynamite showcase saw an intense battle between Benjamin and Strickland. There were several close calls suggesting a possible victory for Benjamin, but Strickland proved tenacious, ultimately securing the win. However, moments later, MVP stepped in, sparking a wave of chaos.

As a thrilled fan, I can’t help but recount the electrifying moments when MVP made that pivotal phone call, momentarily halting Strickland’s triumphant dance in the ring. The anticipation surged as Lashley stormed towards the ring, and with a gleam in his eye, MVP eagerly rejoined the fray, setting up a tense encounter between his new ally and the previous AEW World Champion. With a powerful clothesline, Lashley sent Swerve crashing to the mat, initiating a chaotic climax that had spectators on the edge of their seats.

Following Strickland’s fall, MVP resorted to strangling Nana with his walking stick before delivering a hard kick from Benjamine. Subsequently, Lashley seized Strickland and applied a full nelson, rendering Swerve unconscious. AEW officials rushed out to the ring in an attempt to maintain peace, but Benjamin and Lashley merely wreaked havoc upon them as they entered the ring.

The end of Dynamite was quite thrilling, and it marked the beginning of a formidable new faction within AEW. Lashley and Benjamin are now part of the Hurt Syndicate, but the group isn’t finished adding members yet. Ever since MVP made his debut, he has been approaching several AEW performers, extending invitations to collaborate with him and his budding faction.

Initially, they considered and invited personalities such as Mercedes Mone and Strickland, but Strickland declined the offer. This decision seems to have sparked some tension with MVP, and now Lashley is present to prevent Swerve from rising again. However, we’ve observed that Swerve always bounces back eventually.

As a passionate fan, I’ve learned that Fightful Select reported Lashley’s signing with AEW was completed just before MVP made his debut at Grand Slam in September. At one point, it was anticipated that MVP would debut at WrestleDream, but those plans shifted drastically as Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley took center stage in an unforgettable showdown to close the event. Now, with Full Gear approaching, it seems we’re heading towards a showdown between Lashley and Strickland at the pay-per-view. Exciting times indeed!
