Bond 26: Spider-Man and Harry Potter Producers Board Amazon’s James Bond Movie

The news is confirmed: Amy Pascal, known for producing Spider-Man, is diving into the world of James Bond. As per recent rumors about Pascal discussing the role with Amazon MGM Studios (now overseeing the franchise after Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson), they announced on Tuesday that Pascal, along with Harry Potter‘s producer David Heyman, will be responsible for reviving the 007 series for the big screen.

As a fan, I’d like to share that the esteemed former chairperson of Sony Pictures Entertainment is now working through her Pascal Pictures, the studio behind the Tom Holland Spider-Man trilogy in collaboration with Marvel Studios. On the other hand, the talented producer Heyman is making movies via his Heyday Films, a UK-based company known for creating the Wizarding World saga of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films under Warner Bros.

Amazon MGM Studios’ Head of Film, Courtenay Valenti, commented, “We’re handling every creative decision for the upcoming James Bond projects with the same level of responsibility as Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson have shown in guiding the franchise so successfully. We’re fortunate to be collaborating with two exceptional film producers, Amy Pascal and David Heyman, who are renowned for their work on hit movie franchises. We’re eager to create a story that maintains the high standard of quality associated with this iconic character.

In their shared declaration, Pascal and Heyman expressed that James Bond is a legendary cinematic figure. They feel privileged to carry on the legacy set by Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson, who created numerous remarkable films featuring this iconic character. They are thrilled and eager to preserve the essence of Bond as he embarks on his upcoming journey.

As reported by Borys Kit from The Hollywood Reporter, the agreement between Pascal and Heyman is specific to Bond 26 rather than a continuous contract.
