Borderlands 4 Boss Teases “Badass” New Trailer

As a hardcore Borderlands fan with over a decade of loot-shooting and mayhem under my belt, this news has sent me into a frenzy! The tantalizing teaser at Gamescom and now Randy Pitchford’s cryptic tweets have me on the edge of my seat. If the trailer drops at The Game Awards next week, I might just need a new pair of pants due to the sheer excitement that’ll course through my veins!

It’s possible that fans might catch a glimpse of Borderlands 4 trailer earlier than anticipated. Randy Pitchford, head of Gearbox, shared on X/Twitter that they are working on a trailer for the game. While there’s no set date for its release, considering The Game Awards is only a week away on December 12th, it might be shown there. Of course, this is all speculation at the moment, but with the event approaching quickly, it seems like a plausible possibility!

Gearing up to create a fresh trailer for what seems to be ‘Borderlands 4’, and it’s absolutely awesome! The latest rendering is simply stunning, leaving me speechless. I’m supposed to keep quiet about it, but I can’t help it – I’M SO EXCITED, you have no idea!

In the following updates, Pitchford expressed that “my phone is constantly ringing, I suppose I wasn’t allowed to reveal we were releasing a trailer.” Later on, he stated, “I won’t be deleting [the post], if you don’t hear from me in a week, dial 911.” This could be Pitchford being playful or part of a strategic plan for the trailer release. It’s also possible that he was not supposed to disclose anything and his superiors at Take-Two are not thrilled about the early leak. Nevertheless, we can look forward to a Borderlands 4 trailer in the near future!

It’s been confirmed that Borderlands 4 is currently being developed, an announcement made after Gearbox Software was acquired by Take-Two from Embracer Group in March. A teaser trailer for the game was unveiled during Gamescom Opening Night Live in August, providing a glimpse into a cinematic scene from the upcoming title. Since Gamescom Opening Night Live is hosted by Geoff Keighley, there’s speculation that we might get a reveal at The Game Awards next week as well.

We’re eagerly waiting for the upcoming Borderlands 4 trailer which may showcase some gameplay. However, we’ll have to stay patient as the timeline remains uncertain. It’s been over five years since the launch of Borderlands 3, and fans have been eagerly anticipating fresh content. The Borderlands movie wasn’t quite satisfying, but enthusiasm for Borderlands 4 is high. At present, there’s no confirmed release date or timeframe for the game, but speculations point towards a potential summer 2025 launch. If that’s accurate, the trailer might even reveal a release date once it drops. We’re hoping to learn more details following The Game Awards next week!
