As a gamer myself, I’m thrilled to announce that I can finally pre-order Gearbox Entertainment’s Borderlands 4! The Standard Edition is going for $69.99. They’ve unveiled what we can expect post-launch, but that’s not all the excitement – you can now check out the system requirements on Steam to make sure your rig is ready for this epic adventure!
The essential specifications include a processor such as the Intel Core i7-9700 or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X, accompanied by 16 GB of memory, and either an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 or a Radeon RX 5700 XT graphics card. At least 8 GB of VRAM and an octa-core CPU are necessary. For optimal performance, consider a Core i7-12700 or Ryzen 7 5800X processor, 32 GB of RAM, and a graphics card like the RTX 3080 or Radeon RX 6800 XT. You’ll also need at least 12 GB of VRAM and eight or more CPU cores.
Beyond the existing needs, an essential upgrade to a 100GB solid-state drive is necessary. These requirements surpass those for Borderlands 3, and it remains unclear what resolution and frame rate this setup will support.
On September 12th, you’ll be able to get your hands on “Borderlands 4” for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC platforms. A version for the Switch 2 will follow later. For more details, such as a fresh story trailer and gameplay demonstration, tune in on June 21st during the “Borderlands” Fan Fest livestream.
