As a seasoned Borderlands fanatic who’s been traversing Pandora and its neighboring worlds since the early days of the Vault Hunters, I must say that the unveiling of Borderlands 4 has sent my excitement levels skyrocketing! The tantalizing glimpses we’ve been given thus far – be it the cinematic teaser or these stunning concept art pieces – have only fueled my anticipation for this much-awaited sequel.
Following several months of playful banter, during Gamescom in August, Gearbox Entertainment and 2K officially revealed “Borderlands 4”. While they didn’t disclose much information about the game other than premiering a cinematic teaser trailer, Gearbox has recently provided another sneak peek at what the upcoming installment will feature.
At PAX West, I was thrilled to catch a glimpse of the developer’s fresh concept art for Borderlands 4. They’ve even posted it on the official series website! Admittedly, this isn’t our first proper sneak peek into the game itself, but it does offer tantalizing hints about its world. I spotted some fascinating settlements and cityscapes that look nothing like what we’ve seen before. Take a look at the concept art below to get an idea of what’s brewing!
It’s anticipated that Borderlands 4 will be released in the year 2025, targeting platforms such as PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. At this moment, a precise release date remains unannounced. Keep an eye out for further updates on the game within the coming weeks and months.
