Borderlands Boss Says Fans Will Be "Very, Very Happy" with Next Game Announcement

As a die-hard Borderlands fan, I can hardly contain my excitement as I eagerly anticipate the next installment in this iconic franchise. With Randy Pitchford himself teasing that an announcement isn’t too far off, I feel like we’re on the brink of discovering another adventure in the chaotic and captivating world of Pandora.

For fans of Borderlands, it’s safe to anticipate that a new installment is under production, with active development currently taking place. Randy Pitchford, the head of Borderlands, has hinted that we may not have to wait long for updates on this upcoming game. During a recent interview, he suggested that Gearbox will unveil the next title soon, and fans’ reactions are predicted to be highly positive.

Pitchford discussed with GamesRadar about the expanding Borderlands franchise and upcoming installments. He acknowledged that the Borderlands universe goes beyond just the primary games, hinting at Gearbox’s ongoing projects. He assured fans that they won’t have to wait long for news on the next game.

“We’ve been keeping busy with several major projects and haven’t been able to keep it a secret,” Pitchford admitted. “Our fans have much to look forward to, as they will be thrilled with our upcoming video game announcement. rest assured, we won’t keep them waiting for too long before making the big reveal.”

The most recent entry in the Borderlands series, which is “Borderlands 3,” came out as far back as 2019. Following that release, we’ve seen “Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands,” a game centered around Tiny Tina that expanded upon the popular DLC from “Borderlands 2” called “Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep.” This spin-off was positively received by players and did well enough to encourage its creators to consider it as the foundation for an entirely new series, separate from the mainline games. Another Borderlands spin-off, titled “Tales from the Borderlands,” has also been released in recent times.

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but feel excited about the possibility of a new Borderlands game. With two successful spin-offs under our belts and five years passing since the last main installment, it seems reasonable to expect an announcement for Borderlands 4 soon, especially with Pitchford generating buzz around it. However, I must admit, I’m a bit apprehensive about the upcoming Borderlands movie. Despite my love for the game series, I prefer to wait and see how the adaptation turns out before fully embracing it.
