“Boston Rob” Mariano‘s family vacation in Mexico has hit a snag.
On June 16, a former contestant of Survivor, identified as Amber Mariano’s husband, revealed that their 14-year-old daughter Carina had an unfortunate incident at a golf course. In brief, they wound up in the hospital the previous night due to this plant prick.
He shared on Instagram Stories that she experienced a very strong response to the plant, resulting in significant discomfort. When the medical team conducted an ultrasound to search for her spine, they unexpectedly discovered a large amount of fluid within her knee area, near where the plant had pierced her skin. They then recommended some antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medication.
Thankfully for Rob, who is father to Lucia (15), Isabetta (13), and Adelina (10) alongside his partner Amber, Carina began to feel significantly improved following her treatment.
The individual aged 49 commented alongside the posted image of the plant, “We’ve found our suspect – it’s El Datilillo, or ‘The Spanish Dagger’.
Almost a month after Carina completed her middle school education, the family vacation was planned. During that period, Rob playfully commented about shedding tears similar to a newborn at the teenager’s academic milestone.
He posted on Instagram that she had been given one of the highest accolades at her school, The Leadership Award, on May 21. He expressed that he was deeply moved by the news.
In a heartfelt message to his daughter Carina, Rob expressed, “I’m incredibly proud of you! Your kindness, intelligence, and beauty shine brightly. No matter what path you choose, I know you’ll excel. You are an exceptional daughter and a loving sister. You are truly a Champion! I love you deeply!
To mark the conclusion of yet another triumphant academic year, Rob decided to treat his family to a trip to beautiful Cabo San Lucas. On Father’s Day, he unwound on the beach, soaking up the sun, and indulged in a round or two of golf.
On June 15th, he exclaimed, “Perfectly Wonderful!!!” followed by, “My girls are thriving splendidly this week.” (Alternatively, “My girls are living life to the fullest this week.”)
And for the Traitors star, there’s no greater feeling than being with loved ones.
He mentioned during the ‘First Class Fatherhood’ podcast in 2020 that spending a lot of time with us is something he values, and it’s primarily because of our familial bond. To him, the family component is the core of the lessons he’s passing on to his children.
