As I delve into the extraordinary lives of the Jolie-Pitt brood, I am truly awestruck by the rich tapestry of experiences each child has woven for themselves. From humanitarian missions to acting stints, it’s clear that these children are not just living their lives; they’re crafting narratives that will inspire generations to come.
Take Maddox, for instance. His life journey began in Cambodia, where he was adopted by Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. Growing up amidst the glitz and glamour of Hollywood, Maddox has managed to maintain a strong connection with his roots, even pursuing college studies in Southeast Asia. It’s safe to say that this young man is not just a star on the rise but a beacon of cultural understanding and unity.
Shiloh, my dear, seems to have inherited her mother’s adventurous spirit. From dancing at L.A.’s Millennium Dance Complex to petitioning for her name change, Shilou has shown an uncanny knack for grabbing life by the horns. And let me tell you something, if I were a horn, I would be very scared of this young lady!
Vivienne and Knox, the twins born in France, are the epitome of yin and yang. Vivienne, with her quiet strength and dedication to theatre, reminds me of Angelina’s late mother, Marcheline Bertrand. Knox, on the other hand, is a spitting image of his father, Brad Pitt, both emotionally and physically. Together, they are the living embodiment of the saying: “The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree… but if it does, it can still make a huge impact!”
Lastly, we have Zahara and Pax. Born in Africa and adopted from orphanages in Ethiopia and Vietnam, respectively, these two have grown up with a profound sense of empathy and a desire to give back. From humanitarian work to acting roles, they are proof that the best things in life often come to those who don’t wait for them but go out and get them!
In conclusion, the Jolie-Pitt brood is not just a family; they’re a global movement, a testament to the power of love, empathy, and adventure. And if you ask me, I’d say that life with this family is one big, beautiful rollercoaster ride… and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
As for my joke, here goes: When asked what their superpower was, Maddox replied, “Adoption.” Pax chimed in, “Mind reading.” Shiloh said, “Dancing like nobody’s watching.” Knox and Vivienne looked at each other and said, “Being twin telepathic mind readers!” And Zahara just smiled and said, “I can make anyone smile with my African sunshine.” Now that’s a family with superpowers!
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s legal battle has reached a conclusion.
Nearly ten years following Angelina Jolie’s filing for divorce from the actor known for “Fight Club,” citing irreconcilable differences, the ex-couple – parents to Maddox (23), Pax (21), Zahara (19), Shiloh (18), and twins Vivienne and Knox (16) – have officially resolved their divorce, as confirmed by her legal representative.
Approximately eight years back, Angelina initiated divorce proceedings against Mr. Pitt, as stated by attorney James Simon. Since then, she and the children have vacated all jointly-owned properties, dedicating themselves to seeking tranquility and healing within their family. This statement is merely a single aspect of an extended process that commenced eight years ago.
He added, “Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over.”
NBC News reached out to Pitt’s team but did not receive comment.
Ever since Angelina Jolie filed in 2016, she and Brad Pitt have been engaged in recurring legal disputes concerning the custody of their children who were minors at that time, the ownership of their former shared French property, Château Miraval, a vineyard, as well as an incident on a flight in 2016 where Jolie accused Pitt of physical abuse.
Initially, Brad Pitt refuted the allegations of abuse, and although prosecutors decided not to file charges against him following an investigation, the FBI chose not to continue probing the matter in 2016 – as stated by a federal spokesperson to TopMob News. However, in 2022, Angelina Jolie took legal action against the Department of Justice and the FBI, demanding they disclose documents related to the incident.
In September, Jolie chose to withdraw her lawsuit. The dismissal, as reported by TopMob News, stated that “the parties involved in this case mutually agreed to end it permanently, with each side responsible for their own legal expenses.
The ongoing legal dispute regarding the plane accident involves Château Miraval, a property that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie jointly purchased in 2008. However, since 2022, they have been in disagreement over this property after Jolie filed a lawsuit against her ex-husband, accusing him of selling her share in the company without her approval.
According to documents acquired by TopMob News last August, Jolie requested that Pitt hand over records related to the 2016 airplane incident. Pitt’s lawyers characterized this request as an “extravagant search for sensational details.
Indeed, I find myself in a situation where I’m asserting my right to review certain records, given the circumstances. This isn’t about launching counterattacks; it’s purely about safeguarding myself against unfounded accusations that have been levied against me.
According to Pitt, this issue is merely a ‘business disagreement,’ as stated in the filing. However, that’s Pitt’s perspective. Jolie argues that this case is actually about Pitt trying to use Miraval as a means to exert control and compel her silence. Ultimately, the jury will decide based on the evidence, but for now, Jolie has the right to collect evidence supporting her argument.
However, neither party has disclosed the details of their ongoing legal dispute. Yet, Jolie, who recently returned to acting with the movie “Maria” (her first significant role since 2021’s “Eternals”), has opened up about a particularly challenging phase that kept her from Hollywood for some time, describing it as a very difficult period in her life.
In a recent conversation with Vanity Fair, I found myself dwelling in shadows for personal reasons I choose not to disclose. This period was marked by a scarcity of brightness and vitality within me, which felt quite overwhelming. To put it simply, my spark seemed to fade.
The mother of six explained, “Additionally, I felt the need to stay at home more, which made it difficult for me to dedicate extended periods to specific projects. Often, the decision of what to create and when wasn’t based on creativity, but rather practicality over the past few years.

After developing a fondness for Cambodia during the filming of 2001’s Tomb Raider, Angelina Jolie made a trip to the provincial town of Battambang with the intention of locating her first adopted child.
She shared later with Vanity Fair that she didn’t feel a connection with any of them until she encountered Maddox, born on August 5, 2001, who was suspended from the ceiling in a box. Upon seeing him, she felt an immediate bond and started crying profusely.
Initially, at 26, she legally became her oldest child’s mother on her own. However, once she started dating Brad Pitt later, he initiated the adoption process for that same child too.
Due to his curiosity in his mother’s profession, when Angelina directed the 2017 film First They Killed My Father, which was an adaptation of her friend Loung Ung’s book about the Cambodian genocide under the Khmer Rouge regime, Maddox decided to join as an executive producer. Speaking to People, he explained that he wanted to contribute in any way possible. As for his manager, or simply put, mom, he described her as “fun, humorous, and a pleasure to work with.” He added, “She’s amazing.
Following his biochemistry education at Yonsei University in South Korea, a decision that his mother expressed great joy over, Maddox attended a White House state dinner in April 2023. This occasion was graced by President Joe Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, who were hosting South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol and his wife, First Lady Kim Keon Hee.
Angelina Jolie shared in 2007 with MSN that her son, Pax, had lived for approximately three and a half years in a single location, a solitary room, on a small iron bed alongside twenty other children. During this time, he had little control over his own life and lacked personal freedom. These remarks were about Pax’s early years spent at an orphanage situated outside Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.
Coexisting with Maddox, Zahara, and Shiloh, Angelina noted, “all of a sudden, he finds himself in a very open environment surrounded by new siblings, parents, and a family.” “He’s picking up English and he’s so affectionate,” she added. “He’s spirited and adventurous since he now has freedom for the first time, making him quite lively and mischievous. Yet, what a resilient and remarkable little character he is.
In regards to his passion for the family enterprise, Pax lent his voice to the character Yoo in Angelina’s 2016 animated film “Kung Fu Panda 3” and functioned as a set photographer on “First They Killed My Father”. Later, he accompanied his mother to the 2018 Golden Globes.
Apart from that, he was involved in the decoration of Atelier Jolie – a creative fashion hub and tailoring business established by Angelina in New York City. Additionally, he found himself working within the assistant director team on the Italian production set of her upcoming movie titled “Without Blood.
According to Angelina, she described the experience of collaborating with both Pax and Maddox as if a movie set was at its peak, it resembles a close-knit family, making it feel quite organic.
3-year-old Maddox went with Angelina to the orphanage in Hawassa, Ethiopia where they met their eldest daughter Zahara, born on January 8, 2005. “Mad adores her,” the actress revealed to Anderson Cooper later on. “When Zahara came home, she was already seven months old. For Maddox, it’s like having a tiny pet he can just cradle and gaze at.
Just like her other siblings, Zahara has shown an inclination towards every aspect of her mother’s professional life. She’s accompanied her mother on high-profile events, such as red carpets. Moreover, she launched a charitable jewelry line named Zahara Collection in partnership with jeweler Robert Procop back in 2019. Additionally, she has participated in humanitarian trips to Syrian refugee camps as part of her mom’s initiatives with the UNHCR.
In August 2022, Angelina found herself getting emotional as she saw Zahara off at Spelman College in Atlanta. She expressed that she hadn’t started crying yet but hoped to keep it together (“I haven’t started crying yet so… hopefully I can hold it together,” she shared in an Instagram video). Later on, she returned for the Homecoming celebrations of this Historically Black College and University (HBCU).
In 2023, Zahara became a member of the school’s Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority. Not only that, but she has traveled with an actress on multiple occasions to Washington D.C. She stood alongside Angelina Jolie when she delivered an emotional speech in favor of renewing the Violence Against Women Act in February 2022, and again a year later during meetings with lawmakers to advocate for the passing of the Justice for All Reauthorization Act of 2022.
Approximately months following the announcement of their pregnancy, Angelina and Brad brought Shiloh into the world at Cottage Hospital in Swakopmund, Namibia on May 27, 2006. In her MSN interview, Angelina described Shiloh as “a bundle of light and love, a sweet little thing, and quite humorous.” She also noted that she could see some similarities between herself and Shiloh, commenting that “she’s going to be a handful!
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I proudly recount my journey making red-carpet appearances that began with the premiere of Unbroken in 2014. Since then, I graced events for Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, The Breadwinner, Dumbo, and even walked the 2018 National Board of Review Awards Gala red carpet. Most recently, I was honored to step out on the 2021 Eternals red carpet, donning Mom’s timeless Dior gown.
Angelina said on Daily Pop at TopMob, ‘Wow, go ahead and wear it, make it look even better than me! That’s my motto when it comes to letting my kids borrow clothes from my wardrobe. Take whatever you want, it’s your turn now.’
Apart from expressing concern for Angelina’s charitable work, it appears that Shiloh has dipped her toes into the world of entertainment, often visiting Los Angeles’ Millennium Dance Complex.
On her 18th birthday in 2024, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt chose to petition a court in Los Angeles to legally drop the “Jolie-Pitt” portion of her surname, adopting just “Shiloh Nouvel Jolie.” According to a trusted source, Shiloh hired and paid for her own attorney privately.
At the 2008 Independent Spirit Awards, Angelina first showcased her pregnancy. Later, she delivered Knox on July 12, 2008, in Nice, France, followed by his twin sister Vivienne. The family then moved to their Château Miraval in France, where they found themselves in a whirlwind of activity but were enjoying every moment, as Angelina shared with People magazine shortly after. Shiloh and Zahara took delight in picking out the twins’ clothes and helping change and hold them.
In honor of Brad’s grandfather, Hal Knox Hillhouse, Angelina pointed out that “Knox shares many similarities with Brad, both emotionally and physically.” At the 2015 British motorcycle Grand Prix, it was evident as they both had a strong resemblance to each other.
Similar to their older siblings Pax, Zahara, and Shiloh, Knox also made a small appearance in the 2016 film “Kung Fu Panda 3,” lending his voice for the character Ku Ku. As Jolie shared with ET, they were initially shy and not particularly interested in acting. However, she didn’t want them to miss out on the experience. They reluctantly joined in, and it turned out to be a fun adventure for them.
In simpler terms, Knox’s younger twin brother shares similar qualities with Angelina’s mother, Marcheline Bertrand. As she explained in an interview with TopMob News, this sibling is more focused on supporting other artists rather than seeking the spotlight. She described him as thoughtful and deeply committed to theater, always striving to find ways to contribute effectively.
Despite excelling in portraying the younger version of Aurora, played by Elle Fanning in 2014’s Maleficent (Angelina was amazed by her performance, stating at the time that she couldn’t believe how well she was doing and even hit her mark again), this high school student has since shown a preference for roles behind the scenes.
Angelina mentioned that Vivienne was the one who motivated her to help adapt Francis Ford Coppola’s 1983 movie “The Outsiders” for Broadway, which eventually led the teenager to assist her mom, a Tony award-winning producer, as a volunteer on the project.
Angelina shared with People that Vivienne, known as Vivienne Jolie in the playbill, will correct her if needed. “She’ll remind me, ‘Haven’t you seen the memo? We need to do this, we have to follow these steps,'” said Jolie. “Vivienne has been a very diligent assistant, she approaches her work with great seriousness.
