The esteemed actor Brad Pitt has found his next venture, and this time he’s collaborating with another laureate from the world of filmmaking – Edward Berger. Known for works such as “Conclave” and “All Quiet on the Western Front”, Berger is directing an adaption of a 1994 novel that was a finalist for the Booker Prize, with Pitt taking the lead role in this production under the banner of A24.
As I trotted the globe for two years, taking in Europe‘s rich tapestry, my wife Jennifer and I stumbled upon an enchanting old farmhouse nestled under a castle in Ireland. On a whim, fueled by Jennifer’s love for the mystical, we decided to make it our home. While I spent weeks laboring alone on renovations, Jennifer ventured back to Australia to sell off our possessions.
Upon landing at Shannon Airport, eagerly awaiting Jennifer and our seven-year-old daughter Billie’s return, the only face that greeted me was Billie’s. No note, no explanation, not a whisper from Jennifer, and the shock had left our little girl speechless. In that moment, my life shattered into pieces.
