As a die-hard comic enthusiast, let me share my take on what went down in Absolute Superman #7: The Man of Steel unveiled a chilling prologue featuring one of Brainiac’s darkest iterations. But that wasn’t the solitary debut of this issue. Brainiac’s relentless pursuit to unearth Superman’s origins and true identity gained momentum in Absolute Superman #7, as Brainiac succeeded in pinpointing Krypton, Superman’s home planet. This revelation was the key that unlocked Brainiac’s access to Superman’s ultimate vulnerability. It didn’t take long before Brainiac began hatching dangerous schemes against the Man of Steel. Be warned, spoilers are approaching for Absolute Superman #7, so if you haven’t read it yet, consider yourself forewarned!

Initially, Brainiac contacted the Collective, seeking any clues about Superman’s identity and his home planet. Many members of the Collective either hesitated or had no information, but one individual compared a red soil specimen to Krypton’s heat pattern.

As I’m assigned to assist Brainiac, I receive the elemental analysis of the given sample. After wrapping up our conversation, he proceeds to print out the sample for further examination. Subsequently, his clones are instructed to conduct tests, focusing on how a meteorite interacts with dust from Superman’s cape. The concluding page reveals Brainiac scrutinizing the sample closely. Later in the narrative, we witness him bestowing several upgrades upon a Peacemaker.

As a film enthusiast, I’ve been eagerly anticipating the next chapter in the Superman saga. Following his groundbreaking Kryptonite discovery, Brainiac has been tirelessly working on an upgrade for the Peacemaker – a new armored suit equipped with various Kryptonite-infused weapons. The target? Smallville, where I’ve just learned that Superman has recently returned. With this information in mind, it seems the much-awaited showdown between Brainiac and Superman is imminent. The tension is palpable, and I can hardly contain my excitement to witness their collision!

According to the illustration, this version of Brainiac is more wicked than any other power-seeker: his tragic past has turned him into a cruel murderer who finds joy in witnessing the demise of his own allies. Equipped with Kryptonite and a strengthened Peacemaker at his command, Brainiac poses a serious threat to Superman.
