Bret Hart Scheduled for WWE Raw Season Premiere

As a lifelong wrestling fan who grew up idolizing Bret “The Hitman” Hart, this news has me more excited than a kid on Christmas morning! I still remember watching him from my living room in Calgary, cheering him on every step of the way. His return to WWE after all these years is like seeing an old friend come home.

Legendary WWE Hall of Famer Bret “The Hitman” Hart is set to make a comeback to the WWE after many years. Following a fallout with the company due to the famous “Montreal Screwjob,” Hart spent several years in WCW. However, after resolving differences primarily with Vince McMahon, he had a brief return in the 2010s, culminating in a victory over McMahon at WrestleMania. After retiring completely in 2011, Hart has made occasional on-screen appearances. With WWE returning to Hart’s hometown of Calgary, Alberta next week, it was announced by backstage correspondent Jackie Redmond that Hart will be appearing on Monday Night Raw.

Redmond expressed his hope that you’re still savoring the remaining days of summer’s beauty. However, he felt compelled to make a video announcement because he has received reliable information that on the upcoming Monday Night RAW season premiere, none other than the Canadian wrestling icon, Bret “The Hitman” Hart, will be present at the Saddledome in Calgary.

Next week has been declared as “WWE Week” on the USA Network. This coincides with the premiere of the new season of WWE Raw and the comeback of SmackDown to USA since 2019. Raw will continue on the network until January next year, at which point it will shift to streaming exclusively with Netflix. Moreover, WWE NXT, currently airing on USA, is set to move to The CW in October.

As a dedicated gamer, I can’t help but share some exciting news that just dropped! Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE’s Chief Content Officer, has been hinting at something extraordinary for us fans on X. He said, “You definitely don’t want to miss this!” It’s still a mystery what Bret Hart‘s role will be in the show, whether he’ll be hosting like Trish Stratus or getting embroiled in an angle. With CM Punk’s vocal opinions about Hart, it wouldn’t shock me if Drew McIntyre found himself somehow in the thick of things, especially given the events that unfolded on this week’s Raw. Stay tuned for more updates!

Bret continues to be a significant leader in the world of professional wrestling. Earlier today, Netflix unveiled the official trailer for Mr. McMahon, containing insights from Jimmy Hart, Levesque, John Cena, Eric Bischoff, Hulk Hogan, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Bruce Prichard, The Rock, and Hart. Notably, The Hitman has expressed his views on McMahon after the Janel Grant allegations surfaced, as he had previously criticized the ex-WWE CEO.
