Over three years after killing his ex-girlfriend Gabby Petito, celebrity medium Jonathan Mark says Brian wants to apologize to Gabby’s mother Nichole Schmidt.
In a sneak peek for the September 24th episode of the “Connect with Jonathan Mark” podcast, provided exclusively to TopMob News, Jonathan said, “Brian Laundrie is definitely trying to get in touch, but Gabby isn’t allowing it. To be frank, I don’t want him contacting either, if I’m being honest. Unless you specifically want him to, I won’t let him reach out.
However, Nicole was open to listening to him, as she expressed, “I’m willing to listen if he has something to share.
And Jonathan alluded to why Brian was trying to connect with Nichole from beyond the grave.
“It’s more of an apology,” he said. “I will say.”
Previously, Nichole spoke about her ability to find forgiveness for Brian, after their 22-year-old daughter Gabby was discovered strangled in Bridger-Teton National Forest following a trip they took together in August 2021. (It was later revealed that Brian admitted to murdering Gabby before taking his own life in October 2021.)
At CrimeCon 2024 in May, Nichole expressed her feelings directly when she said, “As for me personally, Brian, I offer forgiveness.” She felt it was necessary to break free from the shackles of resentment and bitterness, and she refused to let your reprehensible action dictate the course of the rest of her life.
Despite not finding full resolution regarding her daughter’s murder, Nichole continues to carry unresolved anger towards Roberta Laundrie, who, along with her husband Christopher Laundrie, was once implicated in a failed attempt to conceal the crime in a previously settled civil suit. This involved Gabby’s family.
At CrimeCon, Nicole stated directly to Roberta, “You specifically, Roberta, are the one who orchestrated the destruction of our families with your harmful actions. I don’t see any compassion in your gaze, nor do I sense regret in your soul or a readiness to accept accountability for your deeds.
Since the lawsuit concluded, Roberta and Christopher haven’t publicly addressed the matter, but their legal representative has offered a response regarding the claims made in the 2022 lawsuit.
If the allegations made by the Petitos in their lawsuit are accurate, which we refute, it’s important to note that this legal action doesn’t alter the fact that the Laundrie family had no duty to communicate with law enforcement or any external parties like the Petito family,” the Laundrie’s lawyer stated to TopMob News.
