Brianna LaPaglia is flying solo at the 2025 Golden Globes—and loving it.
Three months following her split with country artist Zach Bryan, the TikTok sensation, famously recognized as Brianna “Chickenfry” online, made a public appearance with her close friend Josh Richards at the 2025 Golden Globes on January 5. She turned heads in a stunning bronze gown designed by Maria Lucia Hohan on the red carpet (Click here to explore all the fashion at the event).
At the 82nd Golden Globes, which was hosted by Nikki Glaser, a 25-year-old woman demonstrated her flourishing during her solo phase. Interestingly, she had earlier disclosed some less than ideal memories from last year’s awards ceremony, where she attended with Zach and Grace O’Malley. Intriguingly, she claimed that the “Something in the Orange” singer openly despised her outfit for that night.
On an episode of her ‘BFFs’ podcast in November, Brianna exclaimed, ‘That was utterly surprising!’ She explained that it was the first time he had attempted to dictate her clothing choices and social media posts. Later, at the Golden Globes, she shared a series of photos and he disapproved of her dress.
It appears that Zach’s remarks regarding her stunning gown, particularly the dramatic leg split, somewhat dampened her enjoyment of the event.
She remembered him saying that he didn’t prefer dating someone who presented themselves in that manner. That action of his spoiled my evening. Whatever positive things I had going on or good deeds I did for myself, he found a way to spoil it all for me.
To put it simply, Brianna has never shied away from discussing the ups and downs she faced with her former partner, revealing the alleged abusive incidents that occurred throughout their one-year relationship following their separation.
In a November episode of her podcast, she confided in hosts Dave Portnoy and Josh that the previous year of her life was the most difficult she had ever experienced. She shared that dealing with the abuse from a certain individual has left her feeling fearful even now.
In my own words, I’d say, “He led me to blame myself for everything. He cut me off from every aspect of my past life. He didn’t allow me the freedom to be who I truly desired to be. He made me despise the very things that I cherished about myself.
