Besides the masquerade ball scene being a crucial plot point in Julia Quinn’s fourth Bridgerton novel, An Offer from a Gentleman, it wasn’t just this event that offered fans glimpses into Benedict and Sophie’s love story.

In a recent discussion, the showrunner of ‘Bridgerton’, Jess Brownell, shared some details about Benedict’s character development in the upcoming fourth season of the regency-era drama. This series also features Nicola Coughlan as Penelope Featherington, Claudia Jessie as Eloise Bridgerton, Jonathan Bailey as Anthony Bridgerton, and Luke Newton as Colin Bridgerton.
