Actor Jonathan Bailey from the series “Bridgerton” has made it official – he’s returning to play the character Anthony in the fourth season of the program.
Previously, it was announced that the character Benedict Bridgerton, portrayed by Luke Thompson, will be the main focus in season 4 of Netflix’s series.
Now, it’s official that the older brother is returning as well, and we can expect him to lend a helping hand to Benedict as he ventures into finding love, much like how he supported younger brother Colin (Luke Newton) during season 3.
In a recent interview on Good Morning America, Bailey mentioned that he has scheduled a few weeks for resuming Bridgerton season 4 filming. He’s eager to dive into the scripts.
He added: “The thing about Bridgerton, which is so brilliant, is that there’s so many different ways you can fall in love as humans and that’s what this show will explore. Obviously being the older brother, I’m going to be there to support the youngsters as we go.”
Regarding Benedict, Bailey portrayed him as a character brimming with curiosity and happiness. He’s the pulsating core of the family. Luke Thompson is expected to deliver an outstanding performance.
Back in July, it became known that Benedict would feature prominently in season 4. Netflix shared a video clip showing the actor rehearsing for a scene at a masked ball.
In the third book of the Bridgerton series, titled “An Offer from a Gentleman,” Benedict becomes the central character, and some enthusiasts anticipated that this story would serve as the foundation for Season 3.
However, unexpectedly, Season 3 of Bridgerton departed from the sequence of the initial novels. Instead of Benedict’s romance being explored, it was Colin’s love story that took center stage, which is the focus of the fourth book, Romancing Mr. Bridgerton.
