Bring Them Down – TRAILER

As a seasoned movie critic with roots deeply entrenched in the heartland, I’ve seen my fair share of rural dramas that tug at the heartstrings and leave one with a sense of grit and determination. However, the trailer for Bring Them Down has piqued my curiosity in a way few films have managed to do lately.

As a passionate cinephile, I’m thrilled to share that MUBI, the worldwide distributor, streaming platform, and production company, has unveiled the first trailer for Christopher Andrews’ directorial debut, which we’ve been eagerly waiting for since this year when they graced us with the captivating Demi Moore film, ‘The Substance’.

In a secluded rural community, Michael (Christopher Abbott), the youngest offspring of a hardworking farming family, leads a solitary life alongside his ailing, gruff father Ray. Haunted by a dark secret from his past, Michael has distanced himself from society and devotes himself to his cherished herd. The longstanding feud with neighboring farmer Gary and his unruly, erratic son Jack (Barry Keoghan) resurfaces old grudges, igniting a series of events that grow progressively violent and destructive, ultimately transforming both families forever.

Bring Them Down highlights a contemporary conflict between two rival farming clans residing in rural Ireland, featuring Christopher Abbott, BAFTA victor and Academy Award® nominee Barry Keoghan, along with Colm Meaney, Nora-Jane Noone, Paul Ready, and Susan Lynch.

At this year’s British Independent Film Awards, Bring Them Down is up for two nominations: Best Debut Director (Christopher Andrews) in the Douglas Hickox Award category, and Breakthrough Producer (Jacob Swan Hyam). This film made its world debut at the Toronto International Film Festival this year, and it has also been chosen to be screened at the BFI London Film Festival 2024.

BRING THEM DOWN  WILL BE IN CINEMAS IN THE UK & IRELAND ON 7th FEBRUARY 2025
