The search is on for Charlotte Peet, a British journalist who vanished in Brazil.
As reported by the Foreign Press Correspondents Association (ACIE), a 32-year-old individual has vanished 11 days ago within the South American nation.
Peet last made contact on February 8th, reaching out to a friend in Rio de Janeiro via WhatsApp seeking accommodation, as stated by Edmar Figueiredo, the president of the organization. She shared with her friend that she was currently in São Paulo and intended to travel to Rio de Janeiro, according to Figueiredo’s account.
After several days, Figueiredo revealed that Charlotte’s family in the UK reached out to their mutual friend, informing them they had lost touch with the British journalist. He then added that ACIE and its board implore the relevant authorities to expedite the search for the missing journalist from the UK as soon as possible.

After that, the investigation seemed to stall, he admitted. “I’m really worried, but I can’t figure out what’s happening,” he continued. “We’re simply trying to make sense of the situation now.
