The singer famous for “…Baby One More Time” announced that she has chosen to marry herself, and she couldn’t be happier with her decision.
On Instagram, October 20th, Britney posted: “The day I symbolically married myself,” she said. “It may seem awkward or foolish, but I believe it’s one of the wisest decisions I’ve made!!!
In a post accompanied by a video, a 42-year-old woman showed herself in a white, satin gown and a lace veil, while Sting’s “Fields of Gold” played in the background – a tune known for its lyrics about discovering love amidst golden barley fields.
It’s generally called sologamy when someone decides to marry themselves, and proponents believe it can contribute to a more contented existence, although Britney didn’t elaborate on her choice.
