This turnover from pregnancy to postpartum has got Brittany Mahomes scratching her head.

Three weeks ago, I welcomed my third bundle of joy, our precious Golden, with my incredible husband Patrick Mahomes. Aside from being a mother to our two other bundles, Sterling (3) and Bronze (2), this journey has been nothing short of fascinating for me. Here’s an inside peek into how my body is healing up post-pregnancy. It’s been quite the enigma!

Since my return home after giving birth, I’ve had a primarily green recovery, except for the first night. I must admit, I’m still a bit bewildered, but I’m overjoyed no longer to feel constantly exhausted from pregnancy,” she shared on her Instagram Story, Feb 4.

In addition to her post, one of the co-owners of Kansas City Current also posted a snapshot of their stats from the health app Whoop, explaining that “green recovery” means the body is fully rested and ready to perform following a good night’s sleep.

However, Brittany mentioned that she’s been having fewer hours of sleep recently, which might be the reason why she finds her improved recovery a bit puzzling.

Sharing a laughing emoji, she added, “Make it make sense.”

However, it’s possible that we might uncover a solution to this enigma. According to Whoop, maintaining appropriate hydration levels and a balanced diet are also essential elements for enhancing the body’s recuperation process.

In August, during her appearance on the brand’s podcast, Brittany expressed that she enjoys consuming nutritious meals. She stated that it makes her feel healthier and more vibrant when she focuses on nourishing her body with quality foods.

After college, this ex-professional soccer player honed her skill in meal preparation. Now, she boasts a commendable balance in her diet, which she attributes to years of practice. Her preferred meals often consist of fish served with vegetables and coconut rice at lunchtime, followed by steak accompanied by couscous and greens for dinner.

She mentioned that she appreciates indulging in sweet treats, yet she is mindful about both her consumption and the nutritional aspects of what she eats.

Beyond my daily gym grind, I make it a point to keep my little champions on their toes too! I take them to the playground regularly, ensuring we all get our dose of fun and activity together.

She also mentioned that they ensure the children stay physically engaged, “We not only lead a lifestyle like this but actively avoid being couch potatoes, instead preferring an active existence.
