Currently, Danielson’s professional wrestling contract with AEW has ended, and at the moment, it seems he is working on an informal basis for the time being. However, his backstage agreement with AEW remains intact, as he holds another deal linked to his off-screen duties. Primarily, Danielson collaborates closely with AEW President Tony Khan in a consulting role, helping Khan develop storylines and matches. Khan values Danielson’s input so much that he stated Danielson would take over AEW if he ever needed to step down.
Khan discussed with Danielson his encounter with Shane. However, it turned out that Danielson had previously learned about it because a picture of them together had been shared on social media platforms.
