Cairn Overview Trailer Details Climbing, Survival Elements, Dynamic Weather, and More

The development team, The Game Bakers (known for titles like Haven and Furi), is persistently working on their survival climbing game, Cairn. They recently unveiled some fresh gameplay, providing a comprehensive overview of what you’ll need to conquer the upcoming challenge and possibly endure.

Although the specifics of the journey remain unclear, adventurers are embarking on a mission to scale Mt. Kami, a peak never before conquered. Throughout this endeavor, you’ll find yourself scrambling over every boulder and selecting the optimal pathway for your ascent. Proper management of breathing techniques and body positioning will be crucial along the way. Pitons can act as landmarks to help you regain your footing if you slip or fall during the climb.

Enhancing the authenticity are tasks like collecting resources such as water from streams, which can be heated using plants for cooking meals. To make the experience even more immersive, there’s a day/night cycle and the possibility of rain. However, a barometer will give you warning if the weather is about to change unfavorably.

As of now, there’s no set launch date for Cairn, but you can already try it out for free on your PC through Steam (it’s had some fresh updates lately, including new features). Moreover, it’s also planned for console release.
