As a seasoned Call of Duty veteran with over a decade of gaming under my belt, I must say that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has truly managed to capture the essence of my beloved Modern Warfare 2. While it’s not quite the revolution that Modern Warfare 2 was back in 2009, it’s certainly given a nod to its greatness.

Last week saw the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X. Preliminary data indicates it is not only one of the most significant but also one of the best CoD games in recent memory. Given its exceptional performance, it’s hardly shocking that it draws comparisons to the crown jewel of the long-standing first-person shooter franchise: 2009’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

2009’s Modern Warfare 2 is often hailed as the top entry in the Call of Duty (COD) series by many COD enthusiasts. Although it doesn’t hold the same level of importance to the series and gaming industry as its predecessor, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, it’s closely followed by a few contenders such as its prequel, the first two Call of Duty: Black Ops games, Call of Duty: World at War, and the 2019 reboot of Modern Warfare. Some classic COD titles, like Call of Duty 2, also have a devoted fanbase, particularly among older series fans.

Essentially, if you can make something reminiscent of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, that’s ideal. Despite the fact that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 doesn’t play like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in any significant way, it does take a minor aspect from it.

To put it simply, as Modern Warzone informs us, selecting “No” for Prestige in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 triggers a chicken sound, an element that was initially added with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

Indeed, though it’s a minor aspect that may not significantly enhance the overall game’s excellence, details such as this can resonate deeply with devoted Call of Duty enthusiasts. This is why the return of this feature has sparked so much appreciation and acclaim on social media platform X and beyond.

The action-packed game, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, can be played on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X. To stay updated with the latest news, rumors, leaks, and speculation about this new Call of Duty title, follow this link.
