Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 gets better as Treyarch reverts this controversial Zombies change

Zombies players, rejoice, for your cries have been heard.

The core of the recent Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 update revolves around the information Treyarch, the developers, have shared regarding modifications coming up on Thursday. Specifically, they will be reversing adjustments made to the Zombies Directed Mode as of January 3, acknowledging that sometimes things don’t turn out perfect initially.

The team has decided to undo the changes made to Directed Mode, enhance Shadow Rift with four new bonuses, and prepare a correction for the Shock Charge tactic in Terminus that will be safe for speedrunners. These initial improvements are already active, while the speedrun fix is undergoing additional testing before it becomes available.

Treyarch acknowledged that sometimes problems can turn out to be more complex than initially thought, requiring additional time for their resolution, especially when dealing with certain bugs or exploits. Currently, the Vermin double-attack glitch and the Terminus Speedrun fix are still unaddressed, but they’re scheduled to be tackled at the beginning of Season 2 on January 28, 2025.
