Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Updating Weapon Balance, XP and More for Next Beta

As a seasoned Call of Duty veteran with over a decade of gaming under my belt, I must admit that I was thoroughly impressed by the initial beta test of Black Ops 6. The omnimovement and body shields added a whole new level of excitement to the gameplay, making it feel refreshingly different from its predecessors.

The initial (extended) testing period for the beta version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 concluded on September 4th. Consequently, gamers who’ve been engaged with Black Ops 6 will have to switch back to other CoD titles temporarily, without the features like omnimovement and body shields. However, take solace in the fact that another beta for Black Ops 6 is on its way, set to commence on September 6th. Prior to this open beta which welcomes all players, not just those with early access codes, Treyarch Studios has given us a sneak peek into what awaits during the next beta session

In a recent beta update for Black Ops 6, released on Tuesday, Treyarch made some last-minute tweaks focusing on footsteps and overall enemy audio. Similarly, they will be incorporating additional adjustments in the next Black Ops 6 beta update, with significant audio enhancements being among the key modifications planned

Other adjustments include an enhancement in Weapon Experience gain, improved spawn locations, and of course, a focus on weapon equilibrium. During the Black Ops 6 pre-release testing, players frequently discussed their preferred loadouts. Among these discussions, one gun that stood out was the Jackal PDW SMG. This weapon was undeniably the most powerful during the beta, so let’s hope Call of Duty players had a blast using it excessively, as there’s little chance it will remain unchanged in the public beta

Below is everything that Treyarch said it has planned for the next Black Ops 6 beta thus far:

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Beta Changes

  • Level cap raised to 30
  • Weapon balancing
  • Spawn tuning
  • Increased Weapon XP earn rate
  • Audio improvements
  • Bug fixes + more

Besides the recent tweet concerning the beta version of Black Ops 6, Sledgehammer Games also showcased one of the upcoming weapons – the JAK Devastators – that will be available next weekend. Originally planned for the initial beta, these weapons, likened to SPAS-12 shotguns, have been rescheduled for release next weekend instead. Players can even wield two of them simultaneously, so get ready for a lot of players sporting these!

The beta for the upcoming “Call of Duty: Black Ops 6” begins on September 6th and continues until September 9th
