As a long-time Call of Duty fan and avid Xbox Game Pass subscriber, I couldn’t be more excited about Microsoft’s latest announcement! The confirmation that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (MW3) will be joining the Xbox Game Pass library tomorrow, July 24th, is a significant addition to the platform.
Microsoft has confirmed that “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III” will join Xbox Game Pass in the near future. In a few days, the fifth seasons of both “MW3” and “Warzone” will be released, bringing a wealth of fresh content for these two Call of Duty games. Notably, before the new multiplayer and Zombies updates arrive, “Call of Duty: MW3” will become available on Xbox Game Pass.
In an upcoming blog post, it has been announced that starting July 24th, 2021, “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III” will be accessible on Xbox Game Pass. This addition applies to all versions of the subscription service, encompassing Xbox Game Pass for Console, Xbox Game Pass for PC, and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Previous reports had hinted at this development for about a week now, making today’s announcement more of an official confirmation than a surprise.
The arrival of “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III” on Xbox Game Pass signifies a significant addition to the service. Not only is it among the initial Call of Duty games Microsoft has included since finalizing its acquisition of Activision, but it’s also the first title from the franchise available on Game Pass. Further installments, like “Call of Duty: Black Ops 6,” are anticipated to join the platform in due time. However, with “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III” being the most recent entry in the series, it marks the beginning of this popular game collection on Xbox Game Pass.
Additionally, starting on July 24th, Season 5 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 becomes available. This coincides with the game’s arrival on Xbox Game Pass. The influx of new players joining the game for the first time could make Season 5 its most thriving yet. Simultaneously, it serves as a bridge between now and the launch of Black Ops 6 in October for both Microsoft and Activision.
