As a seasoned veteran of multiplayer first-person shooter games, I’ve seen it all. I’ve spent countless hours huddled around my screen, my heart racing as I navigate the battlefield with my comrades and enemies at every turn. And today, I’m here to share my thoughts on this latest update.
The fifth season of “Call of Duty: Warzone” is now available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC platforms. Excited fans of the game who have been around for a while are eagerly anticipating the return of Verdansk, which is predicted to take place in 2025. Although the long-awaited comeback of the original map in “Warzone” is still quite some time away, this latest Season 5 update includes several familiar locations that players are thrilled about.
In Season 5 of “Call of Duty: Warzone,” the beloved battle royale game underwent several new adjustments. Notably, the Urzikstan map experienced a significant modification with the introduction of Superstore. This location was a fan-favorite from Warzone’s past and is now central to the action. In honor of this cherished spot, Activision introduced a Resurgence mode as a special limited-time event that exclusively takes place within Superstore’s boundaries.
In addition to Superstore’s return in Season 5, Warzone introduces a new assault rifle (STG44) and submachine gun (Static-HV). Almost all weapon categories undergo modifications, implying significant changes to the game’s dominant weapons. Besides these weapon adjustments, regular bug fixes and minor improvements have been implemented.
At the bottom of this page, you’ll find the detailed update notes for Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5.

As a gamer, I and my team have been enjoying the current gameplay but felt we could add more intensity around the nuke location. Often, we’ve found ourselves in situations where only a few squads were left or closing in on the final circles with the nuke still to be defused. This wasn’t what we had envisioned and hoped that these timer reductions will keep the challenge engaging while making the climax more thrilling!
