Call the Midwife Star Megan Cusack Confirms Exit as Nancy

Megan Cusack has announced her departure from “Call the Midwife,” having confirmed to TopMob that she will no longer be a part of the period drama following four years on the show.

In the storyline, Cusack portrays Nancy Corrigan, a character who, upon settling in Poplar, found love, became engaged, and most recently took on a fresh job. This development stands in sharp contrast to her initial presentation to the audience.

Last Christmas season, Conor O’Donnell’s character Roger was integrated into Nancy’s departure plotline from Poplar, heading towards Surrey together. Initially, his character wasn’t planned with this intention in mind.

Occasionally, it’s necessary to venture beyond your familiar territory in order to flourish, as Cusack expressed in this week’s TopMob magazine. “I’ve picked up a great deal of knowledge, but I’m still relatively new and must take a bold step forward,” he added.

She went on to say: “It’s a mix of joy and sadness, truly. I’ve forged enduring relationships there and I can carry those forward.

Despite the uncertainty regarding the specifics of Nancy’s on-screen departure and its timing, her absence in recent episodes has sparked curiosity among fans, leaving them guessing about her potential whereabouts.
